Just walking distance from the local shops and bars etc but nice and quiet. On a great beach with a promanade that goes all the way to the the main resort, about a 5km walk.

Lovely pool, but a bit cold.

Cheap to get from the airport. We got off the plane and were on the beach within an hour having unpacked. The plane fly over but not too many and you hardly notice. Great hotel and holiday.

Top Tip: Search for the best prices in the resort for food and drinks it varied as some very cheap and some twice the price. Two local supermarkets so great for Self Catering and cheap. The hotel rooms were spacious so easy to cook dinner etc

Booked 1-bed apt with sea view on room only basis. On arrival, found a spacious & modern reception, staffed with friendly and efficient people. I was happy with the room. It had satisfactory kitchen facilities (if required), as well as fairly modern decor & space throughout. It had plenty of storage space & more than enough mirrors - a good change from typical holiday accommodation. We didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the food. We didn't spend a lot of time in the bar either but that & the entertainment seemed satisfactory. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. The hotel gardens - which are also lovely by the way - lead out to the beach and promenade, which is very clean and just a few minutes away from souvenier shops, bars and restaurants. The main area of puerto del carmen is within walking distance, or easily reached by bus or taxi - both of which are reasonable. Puerto del carmen still has much of its old charm, but also now contains some more upmarket bars and shops - well worth a visit.

Top Tip: Close to the beach & a lovely but fairly vibrant commercial centre which was full of lovely places to eat. The mexican is certainly worth a try. The food was lovely and the staff were really pleasant and friendly.

The hotel was quiet when we were there which suited us , you can hear conversations from other rooms so would have been a problem if we had been next to people who were out partying or coming back to their room at sill o'clock , our balcony had no sunshine on it at any time of the day which was a great shame as we much prefer that to sitting at the pool , the comments in the hotel info pack with regard towels not being left on sun loungers is just empty words , every day people were out first thing reserving their loungers , I personally would have removed towel had I not been able to get a lounger , The staff were lovely & no had no issue with them at all , some of the fridges & microwaves could do with being replaced as they are rusting ect , dont trust the freezer compartment for any food you might want to freeze as it seems to defrost then refreeze at will ... On the whole as a base the hotel meet our needs , we were self catering in a room at could sleep 4 , cooking for four on 2 rings with no oven would have been impossible & the only way 4 could have slept in the apartment would have only been manageable with 2adults & 2 younger children - the junior suit would be better for any one with older children or 2 couples thou I feel these suits are way over priced , got the impression there is a deal to be done if there is a junior suit available & you want to upgrade so my advice would be barter - would stay here again , but for those looking for in house entertainment & for the kids I would say this is a good hotel , lovely beaches just a few steps away from the hotel only issue really for us was the pool was freezing & the " heated " one was not heated & when we asked staff which one was the heated pool we got 5 different answers

Top Tip: beach few feet away beautiful - Hire a car & see the whole island when you get a price make sure it includes everything & you have no excess when you get that price haggle we have always managed to get a good deal & then have it reduced by at least 20euros shop around for deals, roads are better than uk ones & the island has so many hidden gems
