Because your site did not make available a map of this hotel, it was a little tricky to find, especially since I did NOT know it was in a pedestrian area. However, because it was on a well-known plaza, I was able to get directions fairly easily, park on a public space and walk into the square. Although the hotel had said it had parking available, which was one reason I booked this particular hotel, like many Spanish hotels, it did NOT have a car park; it should have said that there was public parking available close by.
However, that aside, it was a wonderful location for the old town, for restaurants, bars, etc., the room was absolutely full of charm and character, and the receptionists spoke superb English and were extremely personable and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel.
Also, Ponferrada, although not particularly recognised by guidebooks, was a lovely place, at least near the old centre, the church, the Templar castle, etc. I'd stay there again!
