Situated in downtown Madrid, only 200 metres from the Puerta del Sol, the heart of the commercial and cultural centre of the city. Traditional Spanish cuisine is on offer in the El Principado Restaurant which is located on the first floor of the floor offering views over Seville Street. Each of the hotel bedrooms are intimate and individually designed and the hotel extends a warm welcome to all guests.

“ Hotel very centrally located but the price paid for that it is that it is next to the junction of 5 busy roads and the noise generated has to be experienced to be believed. A room at the back may be better but these are pretty small. Hotel is also pretty old & tired - it looks as though owners are gradually revonvating it floor by floor. That said, you get what you pay for - pretty reasonable cost for what it is, kept clean and breakfast was ok, though pretty basic. No free wi fi, despite what website says.

“ Hotel was well situated for shops and night life, in need of decoration, lots of noise from other guests, our room was situated internally and no natural light (like a cave), bedding and bathroom were clean and functional.

The rooms are extremely stuffy and each morning I woke with a sore throat. There is no forced ventilation which means the air is very thin and dry. Centrally located rooms see no light or air.
As a positive, the location is excellent giving you great access to Madrid centre.
“ Top Tip: Visit the food market it's fantastic.
