“ Hotel is very good, particular the food. The room is little bit small, but the water for show is very good. It is a good 3 star hotel.

“ this hotel was a massive let down, it is up a huge hill, the beach that it claims to be near is hard to get to and once you do get to it it's pretty much nonexistant. The swimming pool was quite dirty and there was hardly anyone else staying there. There is nothing close by at all. We actually booked into another hotel and left this one!

Hotel
Pleasant, clean and friendly helpful staff. Entertainment is Sally on her organ on a Friday night! Rooms are fine with air con and feebie shampoo etc.. Satelitte TV no English channels. Cleaned every day. Wi-fi was useful and Internet available in bar along with a pool table.
Pool
Pool is approx 25m so good if you fancy a daily swim. Dont be fooled by the photo, it's not as luxurious as it is made out to be. Pool bar is shut. Sunbeds free but pool surroundings not well maintained. Not much atmosphere around the pool, no music playing but instead noise came from dogs barking, babies crying and drilling all from the surrounding residential flats which literally look down on the pool. These are all hidden in the photos. Good sun trap though so if you just want to tan it's fine. Bar inside is open for food and drinks. Towels for the pool if you ask at reception.
Surrounding Area
Beach 15min walk. Didn't stay on it just looked but has beach bar and shower. Hotel is pretty much in a residential area but a couple of food places near hotel. Supermarket 10 min walk. Cala Major as a resort is very quiet but has a number of bars and resturants. If you want to party don't come here! its easy to get into Palma though which is very lively. Lots of bars and clubs, especially opposite the port. Here also is Hard Rock Cafe and El Divino. Number 3 bus €1.25 or taxi €7-10 or good 30-40min walk. Palma is beautiful with port and cathedral lit up at night. Porto Pi 10min walk lots of shops, resturants McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc... Can catch tourist bus from here.

We stayed here 2 nights. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful but the rooms and pool were shabby and poorly cared for. The air conditioning didn't work properly (would only cool to 25 degrees), the cheap double glazing didn't fit properly, the ceiling tiles fitted badly were marked and stained. Breakfast was okay but, in my view, the hotel is very expensive for what it actually offers.
Also, the hotel is NOT 5 minutes from Palma - it takes a good 20 minutes by bus to the centre of town - and it is set in a down-at-heel residential suburb, off a very busy main road. It takes around 30-40 minutes to get to the airport. The nearest bus stop is a good 150m away and the beach is a good 800m+ away (along the busy road). Also, the beach at Cala Major is AWFUL - I've never seen such a dirty beach and the sea was full of floating plastic bags and cotton buds (and worse!). The area of Cala Major really has nothing to recommend it and is full of scraggy shops and restaurants. Don't book your annual holiday here, you'll be disappointed.
“ Top Tip: The Ca'n Cesar tapas bar (at the bottom of the hill off the main road that runs into Cala Major) did good value, good quality food and very cold beer, with generous portions and very reasonable prices (much cheaper than the hotel).
