Mirablau Hotel is in an ideal location lying close to the port and offers a good base from which to explore Palma with its shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife whilst there is also the "Old Town", Bellver Castle and the Gothic Cathedral nearby. The comfortable rooms come with a bathroom with hairdryer, telephone, stereo, Internet connection, central heating, air conditioning, safe, mini-bar and a balcony or terrace. In the outdoor complex is a swimming pool and pool bar (extra cost) as well as a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Tennis, table tennis and billiards are also on offer. The nearest golf course is around 3 km away.

“ Had to ask for a change of room on arrival as room smelt and was very small with a very unattractive view. The receptionist arranged a move for the next day to 7th floor room with a good view but take note that the lift only goes to the 6th floor, so you have to manage stairs with your luggage. It is a shame that the bedrooms and restaurant are a little tired looking as it could make a really good place to stay.

“ For me and my friend it was ok. The beach is 10 min by walk, we have the swimming pool in the hotel,the hotel it was clean enough, the staff was good. A 10 min by walk there is a big commercial shopping centre. the club they are 15 min by bus. a little bit dissaponted 'cause they wrote: " music live band blaa bla" and after nobody show up, the staff didn't know what happen. no party or activities inside the hotel.

“ Don't eat here! - the waiter used to take a pen from behind his ear to mark guests off hig list, then proceed to tidy the cold meat slices and the cheese slices by hand! He even opened a new packet of ham (or whatever it was) and then place the slices on a tray using his hands, even though there were plenty of tongs around. He would touch the bread and croissants using his hands too! Also, very poor food - not a lot of choice; slices of cheese and the usual cold meats, a tray of bacon and scrambled eggs, the same things every morning; though we did have cold Spanish omelette a couple of days. Other than this, the pool was clean but the surrounding areas were not tidied up and glasses from the previous evening and afternoon were left about; also the toilets in the bar and poolside area were not cleaned daily nor the bins in there emplied and no toilet rolls! Very basic problems but you do expect toilets to be kept clean etc. Room though was OK, although there did not seem to be enough staff for the hotel, the cleaners were very good. Other staff were not very friendly or helpful. Won't ever go there again!!
“ Top Tip: Good pub a few minutes walk, up a side street opposite the beach steps, called The Cowboy bar; nice friendly proprietor and with a US navy theme.
