restaurant Sancho,with typical tasty spanish menu for 10 euros,5 minutes up the hill.

“ Gereraly a very good hotel at which I have stayed at twice before. We chose half board, and were very satisfied with the choice of food,and service. The hotel rooms are ok, but could do with an update. The hotel is well placed for using the loocal bus service, and the no 3 buses are plentiful to take you into Palma. The Hotel is very close to the beach, and there are no roads to cross to get there. The staff in the hotel are very polite and helpful. The only problem we encountered was the shuttle service from the Hotel back to the airport, you need to clarify the pick up point, as the shuttle service drops you off on the main Rd on arrival, leaving you a short walk with your cases to the hotel. When you are leaving you need to find out, if they will pick you up from the hotel, or do they expect you to travel to the main rd, as they did in my case.
“ Top Tip: Cala Mayor has a great beach, and is ideal for swimming. if you hire a sunbed you pay the full rate, morning or afternoon, they don't do half days.

“ Top marks for service. Staff well trained, friendly and very helpful. Really make you feel welcome and a valued guest. Nice extra touches e.g. provided free bottle of Cava on my birthday. The only minor criticism I found was that the toilet paper provided in hotel rooms and public loos was single ply, and rather narrower than normally found in the UK.

renovated in the year 2000, this modern hotel comprises 168 well-equipped rooms. Facilities include a bar and an air-conditioned restaurant with non-smoking area, which offers fine views out over the harbour. Conference rooms as well as other function rooms, a public Internet terminal and a laundry service are available to guests.
“ Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Pool area was not very clean and not maintained during the day, bottles and glasses left for 2 days! Also, the indoor pool and change area was very grotty. Breakfast is good, as is the food from the bar. A good 3 star, not really a 4 star.

“ hotel very clean but alittle sad, needs a refurb not a 4* ,food could be better and hotter but plentiful no need to starve.What makes up for everything else is the pool and sea area, just wonderful, straight into the sea , snorkling within yards of your sunbed.
