Thb Guya Playa Hotel

“ This hotel is amazing for the price we've paid. The rooms very of a good standard and clean, the service was polite. We had amazing view and now planning to go back there again.

“ We arrived at the hotel at about 2am due to having to wait for another shuttle bus. The hotel receptionist was very kind and offered us a snack from the restaurant before going to bed. I thought this was a nice touch. Our room was clean and tidy but had a terrible smell of sewerage every now and again. We stayed at the beginning of July 2011 and we were the only English people on the site. All the excursion books were written in German within the hotel. We went down to the beach which is lovely (approx 15 mins walk) we walked around the local town which again was all aimed at Germans. We ordered a cup of tea from a local restuarant but they found it hard to understand us, as although we went with knowledge we would probably have to speak some spanish it was definately German speaking throughout the town we found. We did eat out when we stayed not because the food was horrible but there was not a lot of choice and there was nothing else to do in the evening on the site. We did try the spa which I thought was small but nice. Overall it was good for a break but this site and area is very much aimed towards the german tourists. My daughter did get bored as she didnt speak German and they only have a swing for kids and the pool. However we did relax by the poolside and let the world go by. It wasnt a bad holiday but we wouldnt return due to the boredom factor.

“ Even although my daughter and I were the only English speaking visitors, they did hteir best to accomodate us. The hotel was very clean, and the food was excellent and very varied. My 8 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the children's activities.
The spa in particular was fantastic.
The rooms were a little worn, and it was unsafe to use the hot -lates as they set fire to the wooden shelf which was too close to the wooden shelf underneath!!

“ Top Tip: Both beaches were beatiful Plenty of excellent reataurants around....although all catered for GHerman speaking visitors primarily.

“ Hotel and food was great. But big problem it is in a German resort. Not much of a problem for us but would be for some people.

“ Top Tip: Go all inclusive as the food is great and they vary the food everyday.
