AZ Sol Radiante Hotel

“ We had a nice time an having an appartment suited us as we could control our time and budget.
I was glad we had read the comments as we new from others that we had to go to the main hotel 2 streets away to get the ticket and use the pool.
The guy from the restaurant next door drove me though so was nice people around.
The beach was a little walk so not bad 2 blocks to a great beach.
The buses there are not so direct so worth a taxi to manacor.

“ Top Tip: The beach is really nice but bring or buy your own shade.
The ice cream bar near by had nice pool and bar in the back.

“ Part of Large hotel around the corner that you have full access to so not having a pool and bar facilities is not a problem, although we didn't use it once because the beach was so lovely. Bathroom needs and extractor fan as always a bit damp but other than that it is value for money really. Very few Brits there, mainly German but added to the charm of the resort. It was nice to go somewhere where the restuarants are not competing for the cheapest 'full english' in the Dog & Duck pub where you can watch the football. Only 5 mins from the beach but a little uphill on the way back with some stairs at the end so you need to be mobile, nothing dramatic though. Has a shaded tree area at the top of the beach which is a welcome break from the sun in the afternoon without having to leave the beach.

Not for thr Magaluf crowd or the elderly but if you want a relaxing holday in a beautiful bay, with dinner in a restaurant serving local dishes and then a drink on the balcony with a good book, this will suit you just fine. Not a lot to do for kids but if you don't mind spending time with them yourself it is an ideal spot for a family beach holiday. Leave the Nintendos' at home, it's nice to spend some time together.

All in all, Travel Republic were professional throughout, the appartment did exactly what it said on the can and the resort far exceeded expectations.

“ Top Tip: Restuarants on the beach front are more expensive than others but its worth it for the view. Some bring out Bread, Olives & Aioli, they are mainly not complementary so always best to check. A couple of good Pizza restaurants for the kids but have a stroll and see what you fancy, it's not a big resort and it's worth a look.

The only grey area for me was the transfer arrangements and the help line was completly inneffective, so my top tip would be that on arrival seek out the island hopper desk just by the front doors and find out your coach number for transfer. They are lined up outside. Ours dropped at the hotel for check in and then collected us from the apartments. If you get dropped at the appartments you will have to walk round to the hotel to get your key etc.There is a safe in the appartment so it's a good time to get one. You get a departure time from hotel reception 24 hours before you leave and it would appear that on departure they will call at both the hotel and the apartments looking for you so no need to panic, ours collected from the appartments right on time.
