Manaus Hotel

“ Very nice and tidy hotel. At our stay there were only couples not younger than 60. Didn't see any young people around at all.The pool area was empty all the time which was good. The food was nice too (lgood selection of seafood). The rooms are small but again very tidy and good quality. It was about 5 mins walk to the beach. We didn't stay in hotel much. Instead we were going out every night.The area is packed with cafes, restaurants and bars. Very busy and full of young people. The only thing which was annoying the pensioners were getting up at 8am for breakfast and we couldn't sleep at all as they were really loud-talking, laughing and banging the doors. We wanted just peace and quite as we were getting back from the clubbing at 5-6am and wanted to get a good sleep before going out again.

“ Top Tip: The souvenirs are really cheap. The fridge magnets cost 1 euro. Bottle of water (1.5 litre)- 70 cent. The paella in restaurant cost about 9.40-13.00 euros. As you see not expensive at all. The nightlife is on the right handside (walking towards the airport). The bus 15 and 25 (if i remember correctly) go to Palma for 1.50 euro.

“ The Manaus Hotel is very clean and nicely decorated throughout. The staff are very friendly and helpful, all of the receptionists speak good English. I slept soundly in the comfy bed, helped by effective bedroom aircon and peaceful woodland surroundings. The (smallish) pool and its surroundings are well kept. It's a 10 minute stroll downhill to the marina, from where the bars, restaurants and shops form a continuous 3 mile strip alongside the well maintained beach. This means there is a short but fairly steep hill to walk back up on returning to the hotel. I simply can't complain about the food here - especially considering how reasonable the room rates are! There was always a wide variety of choice and plenty of availability, you have a dedicated table for dinner - for which there are 2 sittings. If I was to be really picky the only negative points are that the bathrooms are small, and rooms on the left side of the hotel (as you look from the entrance) have balconies but nothing to see! Those on the other side have wood/pool view. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, and hope to be making a return visit next year.

“ Top Tip: There is a lovely quiet 'little sandy beach' easily accessible via the pathway by the club nautico restaurant, which is to the left of the marina as you approach it at the bottom of the hill (but don't tell everyone!)
Air conditioned buses are frequent, reliable and cheap, just 1.25 Euro to Palma city centre. This journey takes about 30 mins on the no.23 (from the nearby Hotel Bahama) or on the no.25 (from McDonald's). The no.15 (also from McDonald's) runs later into the evening but takes an hour each way.
