The mallorquin luxury finca La Posada del Marqués is located only 4 km from Esporles, on the southern branch of the mighty mountain range of Sierra de Tramuntana. The valley of Es Verger is situated here, a nature reserve with breathtaking views over the south of the island. On the mountain slope of the La Fita del Rams, at 510 m altitude lays the 16th century manor La Posada del Marqués. This mansion was converted to a luxurious 4 Star Hotel in 1993, at which the original architectural forms were preserved. The *Restaurant **Sa Tafona , one of the islands most beautiful restaurants, is accomodated in the former Tafona oil mill. The olive plantation was used to produce oil which was sold in the local markets during the period when the noble mallorquin family of the Marques de Verger were still running the estate. The original old oil mill can still be admired inside the restaurant, an incomparable setting for enjoying specialities in an exquisit atmosphere.
