DESCRIPTION

Sol Wave House is a unique hotel combining the best hotel service of Sol Hotels with the more innovative experience of Wave House: surf wave pools and open-air parties with the best DJs, all in a contemporary setting with bars, restaurants and clothing and accessory boutiques selling the leading brands in surf fashion.

Moreover, Sol Wave House forms part of the new Calvià Beach Resort along with the Beach House hotel and its Nikki Beach, and the Sol Antillas Barbados hotel with its Flintstones Land. A Meliá Hotels International bid to create the first lifestyle destination in Majorca.

LOCATION

On the Calvià Beach Resort seafront en Magalluf, 17kms away from the centre of Palma and 28.5 km from the airport. Taxi stand and bus stop 50 metres away from the hotel.

The area has a broad range of complementary offerings: sports installations (athletics, tennis…), water sports and marinas, 5 golf courses, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, attractions and shows (Kathmandu, the Pirate Show, Marineland, etc ..). The municipality of Calvià also offers an infinite assortment of cycling and trekking routes and the entire cultural, gastronomic, landscape and monumental tradition of Majorca.

The hotel has a total of 184 completely renovated rooms, 70 suites (65m2) and 114 junior suites (49m2) of simple and youthful design with touches of decor alluding to the sea, waves and surf. All of them have spacious balconies with views over the wave pools, the events area, the beach and the sea.

Wave House Leisure Services

• 2 revolutionary wave machines by Wave Loch ®, FlowBarrel ® and Double FlowRider®.
• FlowBarrel ® is the first machine of its kind in all Europe. This attraction uses enormous water pumps that project water onto a 3-metre curved wall at 48 km/h, producing and creating the perfect waves “”. The Double FlowRider ® creates waves without breakers that are perfect for beginners. Open from 9:00 to 23:00. Use of the installations at additional charges. Special offers for hotel guests.
• Wave House does not only stand out for its pools. Events and parties featuring the best DJs are periodically organised (at a charge), creating unforgettable experiences and events.
• At the Wave House installations, you will find a shop selling the products and equipment of the best surfing brands, such as Billabong and QUIKSILVER (timetable from 8:00 to 22:00)

FlowBarrel

• FlowBarrel ® is the challenge and the stellar attraction of Wave House.
• At a height of 3 metres, it simulates the classic tube of the famous Hawaiian pipeline waves.
• With a water speed of 48 km/h on the surface, you will have the sensation of flowboarding
• You can reserve a minimum of one hour, with different options: with a teacher or in private sessions.
• Maximum 10 persons per hour.
• You will need to pass at least once through the FlowRider wave and/or get the approval of Wave House instructors to pass through the great FlowBarrel wave.
• You must be at least 133cm tall to surf the FlowBarrel.

Double FlowRider

• This is the amusing partner of FlowBarrel
• It is called “Double” because it can be divided into 2 by a separator, enabling 2 persons to surf at the same time.
• This wave does not break, in contrast with the great wave.
• The water moves on an elastic surface at a speed of 32km/h.
• It is specially designed for beginners wanting to practice for the FlowBarrel.
• You can reserve a minimum of one hour, with different options: with a teacher or in private sessions.
• Maximum 10 persons per hour.
• You must be at least 107cm tall for the body-board.
• You must be at least 133cm tall to surf standing.

Sol Wave House Hotel Bar

Poolside Snack Bar with a spacious terrace for taking an apéritif or a cocktail apart from enjoying a snack (salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, etc…), open from 9:30 to 00:00 hrs.

Wave House Restaurant and Bars

Wave House offers a broad variety of restaurants and bars for enjoying the best food. Enjoy a fast burger or a more elaborate dish while you have fun watching the wave pool. Wave House also offers the possibility of savouring the most fashionable cocktails and drinks of the day while you entertain yourself with the amusing and lively atmosphere of the area.

Byron´s Restaurant
Breakfast buffet: from 7:00 to 11:00, for hotel guests and visitors.
Offers a variety of drinks, a hot and cold food section, a show cooking corner where omelettes and crêpes are made to taste.
For dinner, the restaurant offers an à la carte menu and tapas up to 22:00.

Banzai Bar
Open from 10:30 to 23:30.
The kitchen is open from 10:30 to 23:00, and offers a light menu for the entire terrace area.
Special cocktails and all types of drinks. It also offers apèritifs.

Pipe´s Sport Bar
