“ We were delighted with the hotel. The food at breakfast and evening meals was spot-on, We have stayed in 5 star hotels often and Palmira Beach was equal to a lot of them! We had no problem with it being full of German people, a few of them could speak English and they were friendly enough. Everything was very clean and tidy - could'nt fault it!
“ Top Tip: Have a walk into Paguera on an evening, it's buzzing.

A lovely hotel. Interior design is of a high quality as are the rooms. Very close to a lovely beach and the town for bars and restaurants, but there are quite a few steps, not ideal for anyone with mobility problems.
The pool area is very nice but, although the pool is a decent size the surrounding terrace is quite small with most of it in the shade.
The bar staff, whilst not unpleasant, are not very friendly!
The boat trip to Dragonera Island is well worth it.
“ Top Tip: Romana beach is lovely, quiet, clean and the water is crystal clear.

The Palmira Beach Hotel enjoys a great location within in its own grounds, but is near enough walking distance to enjoy what Paguera town has to offer in terms of the beach and the shops.
The hotel itself is lovely; fresh flowers and water features creating a lovely ambience. It is exceptionally clean throughout the communal areas, and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned thoroughly everyday, although it was disappointing that there was no refridgeration or mini bar for cold beverages, or tea and coffee-making facility for hot beverages in the rooms.
The only physical criticism of the hotel was that it was not actually possible to get past the hotel reception area of the hotel with a child's pushchair i.e. their was no ramp up next to the stairs and no lift into reception. It was also dissapointing that not once did any hotel staff offer to assist.
The food in the restaurant (where we were half board for breakfast and evening meal) was good quality, fresh and regularly replenished, hot where applicable and there was plenty of selection.
The only criticisms were the extremely over-strict adherence to having to sit exactly where you were told in the same place everyday for the duration of your stay, and the evening meal times -we thought it was too early in peak summer time for the end of evening meal to be at 20.30hrs sharp. This meant that by this time all food had been totally cleared away so last seating time was probably 20.00hrs.
We enjoyed Spa treatments during our stay, and it was very refreshing that these were not pushed on us and promoted heavily with cosmetic product push-selling as is often the case in many high quality spa hotels. The masseur appeared to be freelance and took the whole payment for the service i.e. it was not charged to the hotel.
The only thing which essentially really affected our enjoyment this holiday, which I feel it is important for people to know without predujice before they decide to book this hotel is that it is ALL German occupied.
In fact we were the only UK hotel guests, and it certainly felt that we were treated very differently by all the hotel staff as a consequence of such. The difference in culture was very apparent, the majority of guests were not at all pleasant towards us (we felt to some extent like lepers!)
A couple of examples to illustrate this point:
- Unbelievably we were actually formally (i.e. in writing) told off by the hotel management for reserving sunloungers in the pool area one morning when there was often not a single sunbed in sight which did not have a German guests towel on it. Our towels were removed from the sunbeds whilst we were having breakfast and left with a written warning.
- One evening, the hotel bar staff were very agitated with me about serving a warm milk for my 2 and a half year old daughter and I had to argue to get it.
- As far as the majority of the German guests were concerned they clearly believed that small children should be not be allowed to have any freedom of movement, and I was given many jugdemental stares about my small daughter's penchant for dancing on the dancefloor early evening.
May be I am too sensitive, I think it is worth knowing this before holidaying there and being made to feel so out of place and unwelcome!
“ Top Tip: A great little authentic Mallorcan restaurant called 'Sa Finca' on the main Boulevard walking into Paguera from our hotel. Lovely food, lovely staff lovely atmosphere.

“ Fabulous hotel, all marble and waterfalls and thats just the foyer!Only problem is that it is aimed exclusively for the Germans. The restaurant menu and entertainment is very German orientated.Staff are friendly and helpful although it helps if you speak German. The hotel is five minutes from the beach, down 56 steps ...and the centre of the resort a further short walk. Plenty of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants in Paguera...but aimed at our friends across the North Sea. Still we're all in the same market so if you do sprecht deutsch or can do decent sign language..I'd thoroughly recommend the Palmira Beach.
“ Top Tip: Look for the first beach bar on the right on the main beach. Cheapest san miguel in Paguera .

“ Stayed for a week with our 5 year old daughter. We were the only English people in the hotel at the time but were expecting this as Paguera is a mainly German resort. The hotel was excellent - very clean and modern. The only strange thing was that the restaurant staff try & allocate you a place for the week on a table with other diners! Once we managed to explain that we did not want this they allocated us a table each day - basically on a table where someone had already eaten. We only ate in once for evening meal as just prefer trying restaurants etc but breakfast good and no quibble re meal we did eat. Entertainment we saw one night was very average and not worth coming back in early for. Resort very good for families - lots of parks, trampolines etc. Overall very enjoyable!!
