“ My friend and I have just spent a wonderful girlie weekend at this hotel - from the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, with Marc greeting us at the door, carrying our bags up the front steps and then showing us to our room and explaining everything we needed to know. There is no fuss, we felt instantly at home - the room was amazing, very large and a fab glass fronted balcony overlooking the shops below (from recommendations on Trip Advisor, we chose the street view as these rooms get the afternoon/evening sun, plus it's great to people-watch). There was a mini-bar fridge in the room, but we used it for some of our drinks which wasn't a problem. Also, the air con was the quietest/most effective we have known. The breakfast has a vast choice of pastries, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, omelettes, crepes - fabulous - and you can sit outside overlooking the beach. We found all the staff to be unobtrusive but friendly and approachable. It has a very modern look about it, but with the carpeted sweeping staircase it also has a cosy feel. It didn't seem that there were any needless rules as you often find with good hotels. We will be returning next year!
“ Top Tip: The beach is glorious, we didn't use the pool at all because it tends to be in the shade by early afternoon and the loungers were all taken by the time we arrived. There are shops and bars in both directions from the hotel - to the left you reach Magaluf after 10-15 minutes' walk (also reached via the beachfront promenade), to the right you are directly in PalmaNova which has a few quiet bars, a couple of 80's bars/clubs and a karaoke bar with acts on each night. There are a few nice restaurants, Italian mainly but also a Chinese which was good value. The shops vary from the usual cheap souvenirs to quality jewellery and clothing. Something for everyone! The resort feels clean, modern and safe.

“ Clean hotel however staff were not very welcoming atall. We paid alot of money for just a weekend away and could of gone cheaper with other 4star rating hotels however we chose this on the basis it seemed the best one. We had no working air con and at 30 degree heat we really needed this. Although room was clean it was very outdated, the view was awful. We were stuck with a palm tree to look at. Breakfast was nice and the only nice staff member was the cleaner. My partner was insulted by the bar staff around pool about his skin which was inappropriate considering they didnt even say anything else Not even a hello. Will not stay at a sol again but lovely holiday apart from this.

“ The Sol Cala Blanca is a great hotel. The rooms big. The beds very good. The eating times are very flexible and the available snacks and drinks very good. The terras has access to the beach and this is fab for taking a swim in the med and then coming back to the lounger on the hotel terras. The modern decor of the hotel lobby and relaxing areas is very appealing. Most nights a piano player plays during dinner. He is fab, very accomplished. This is the second year I went to the sol Cala Blanca and would go again.
“ Top Tip: The busses to Palma get very busy. If one comes along that is full my tip is to wait for the next one. They run very frequent. The busses have a variety of routes all leading to the estacio (station) in Palma, this is underground. Its good to catch the bus back from there too as the bus starts from there and thus empty so you get a seat. Another good tip is to have lunch upstairs in the department store Ingle's. The food is great it's air conditioned and you get a cold drink from a glass bottle ie good quality. We also discovered asking for a fresh orange drink in various places, you get propper freshly sqeezed juice, delicious! The cafe chain Grand Cafe (Cappuccino) was particularly good at this, top quality.
