Iberostar Royal Cupido Hotel

“ Great hotel staff very friendly,hotel very clean,food first class, great location and fantastic bus service out hotel. The only faults were poor lighting in the room and very little storage space but we had a great time would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

“ Excellent staff, nice rooms all with a sea view. Food was excellent,with a good variety. Be warned, if you prefer to be surrounded by fellow Brits and need English TV channels do not go to this hotel. But if you are more open minded you will enjoy this place.

“ The Iberostar Royal Cupido Hotel was fully booked on arrival so we were upgraded to the sister hotel Iberostar Royal Playa de Palma a few meters down the road so my comments are based on this hotel NOT the Royal Cupido. Excellent position just across the promenade road to lovely beach and variety of restaurants & shops along the promenade, but not noisy. Spotlessly clean, food of excellent quality & variety, staff friendly & helpful. You can hire bicycles to cycle around the bay or there is a tourist train which goes along the promenade road to C'an Pastille to the west or S'Arenal to the east - Playa de Palma seemed the nicest, most up-market area along this bay.
However, this area is not frequentented by many English, being mainly dominated by German tourists, hotel staff automatically spoke in German to us before they realised we were English. We were not particullarly bothered about this but it was pleasant when we did occasionally hear an English voice! Don't stay in for the hotel entertainment!

“ Top Tip: Palma is about 15mins away by bus for a couple of euros, buses pass by the hotel every 10 mins (catch the no. 25 which goes along the motorway). Resort is about 10 mins from the airport by taxi (approx 15-17 euros) so this area is ideal for a short break.

“ The hotel was full of German holiday makers and I think we were the only English there but what a marvellous experience, they were welcoming to say the least and conversed in English to us, my only regret is that we have been to lazy to learn another language. Watch out foreign language courses I'm comming through!!

“ Top Tip: The beach is just like you would picture, the only blemish was when we hit the parts asscociated with the British to the point of being ashamed of being British.
