The hotel is located just a few meters from the seafront promenade and the famous Palma Beach, a blue flag beach recognized by the European Union for its white sand and crystalline waters. There’s plenty of shopping and entertainment in the vicinity.

The hotel is just 3 km from the Son Sant Joan airport with good road connections.

Directions
Exit the airport and follow the signs for Santanyí/ Platja de Palma. Go 2.1 km and take the PM-19 for another 2 km to exit 10 (Manacor/S´Aranjassa/ Platja de Palma). At km marker 4.1 follow the signs for Ca´n Pastilla/ Platja de Palma for 346 m. When you get to Sometimes, follow the signs for Can Alegría for 393 m. When you get to Maravillas, take Calle Marbella, exit Sometimes and continue until you see Calle Arenas de Bilbao.

Top Tip:
Toni's bar to the left of the hotel, not on the sea front, very friendly and welcoming.
Del Sol restaurant in Arenal had a lovely meal with great sea view.

This was not the hotel we booked, we originally booked the Royal Cristina but were told a week before we departed that it was opening later so we were allocated this hotel instead. The Hotel Cristina was in fact open so I don't know why we were put in this hotel. The Hotel was OK - could do with some updating in the rooms. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We had a 1 bedroomed apartment, there was plenty of room. The bedroom was situated next to the outside corridor which could be a bit noisy when inconsiderate people came back late at night or early morning. Towels and beds were changed when you required, you left towels on the floor and put a card on your bed if you wanted them changed. Apartments were very clean and cleaned daily. Food varied, breakfast was OK, although the eggs were cooked by the chef they were cooked and left until guests came for them so were only warm. Bacon was the usual for Spain, more like streaky and dripping in oil. There was plenty of cold food, eg cheeses, meat, salami etc served at breakfast time. The food at night varied, there was a carvery a couple of nights but the chef was "on guard" and served you with one thin slice - wasn't really worth it as the pork I had was very dry. The desserts were quite good and there was a good selection of cheese but this lacked the good British crackers! Drinks were very expensive 2.95 Euros for a small beer.
99% of the guests were German this is OK for us as we like to meet different nationalities. We did drop on the bad ones on the next table to us who stole our cutlery when we went to choose our meal, not the sort of thing we would do!
The best thing about this hotel was that we had a lovely sea view, it was a lovely location and was easy to walk to C'an Pastille or Arenal on the promenade. The beach was very clean and stretched for miles!
“ Top Tip: We went regularly to a new bar that had just opened. It is an Italian bar which can be found if you walk out of the hotel at the front and turn right down the main street (about 500m). It is called Vida Loca and is run by Luca and Victor who are very friendly. The drinks are very cheap, it was 1.80 Euros for a pint of Cruzcampo and each beer came with Tapas (free gratis), which consisted of olives, nuts and bread with tomatoes, salami etc.

“ The hotel was OK, bar empty everynight, people didnt want to pay the expensive drinks prices there,it was totally full of germans, we were the only british couple there, the rooms were nice and spacious, beds very hard, shower poor and despite other peoples comments on website, that food was delicious, (I dont know where they had eaten before) because the food was bland and unexciting but what particularly worried me was it was continously cold, or just slightly warm and left to stay in trays all evening and remains, just tipped into new tray if replaced - luckily it wasnt the summer months, otherwise, I am sure they would have had food posioning. Also the restaurant was far too small, every night at 5.45 a long queue would form to get into the restaurant for 6pm and if you didnt get in then, you had to wait in the reception, until they had a table availiable. This was in November out of season, I think they had some deals going with the germans to fill it up but for us, very disappointing, we have stayed with Iberostar before and always been very impressed but we wont be staying there again and will be thinking about choosing Iberostar again.
