Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel, totally renovated in 2007 and 2008 to 4 star superior standard, is located in the beautiful Bay of Alcudia, in the charming resort of Playa de Muro, only 120 metres away from the white and sandy beach. In this unit the guests can really enjoy their holiday at its best and need not worry about the details; the staff will make certain that your stay is pleasant and enjoyable.
Accommodation
The rooms have been recently renovated to a very high standard. Twin rooms sleep up to 2 adults with twin beds and air conditioning/heating, hairdryer, mini-bar, safe (additional fee required), satellite TV with LCD screen, telephone, bathroom with large modern shower and balcony/terrace. Suites sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children with twin beds and sofa beds and have the same facilities as the twin rooms with a separate living area.
Food and Beverage
The complex has a buffet style restaurant (gentlemen are required to wear long trousers), a bar with satellite TV which serves snacks and a poolside bar.
Sport and Leisure
The sports and leisure facilities include two large swimming pools, with a children‘s section of the main pool, a splash pool, a poolside jacuzzi and sun terraces with sun beds and parasols. The hotel now boasts an relaxation area in the garden and bar. There is a masseuse on-site (additional fee required) and a gym. There are facilities for water sports nearby.

The hotel has a laundry service and supermarket. There is a bus stop right outside the complex with a regular service to Port d’Alcudia. br />
Useful Information On Distances
The hotel is situated just 120m from the white sandy beach, which stretches for miles either side, towards Alcudia and Ca’n Picafort and 60 km from Palma airport. It is only a few metres from the centre of Playa de Muro and 50 km from Palma city. The nearest golf course is 5km away.

This hotel was fantastic.
We stayed in a double room (most of the rooms are suites) and it was brilliant. The whole hotel is modern and clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Didnt have to worry about getting a sun lounger at the pool, all the pools are cold though!
Food was excellent, some very different things but those with kids or who are fussy themselves could still find chips, burgers etc.
The location was good, when we read reviews for playa de muro we got worried thinking we would be out in the sticks, but Las Gaviotas is right on the edge of playa de muro and alcudia. We walked the beach to port d alcudia which took around one hour. Great beaches and plenty of beach bars along the strip.
Plenty of bars and resturants around, or supermarkets if your self-catering.
Very relaxed atmosphere on the evenings in the hotel and around the area.
“ Top Tip: Beach bar 'Floridita' was very nice for a drink on the evening looking out at the sea. We went several times, always seemed like a lovely end to the day.

The Hotel is very well positioned near the beach, local shops, bars and restaurants which are within 5 minutes walk. The hotel has 3 lovely swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers. The hotel restaurant offers buffet style dining and was very nice, with a good choice of food. There is a chef who will freshly cook meat or fish and will also cook pancakes and omelettes for breakfast, which are very tasty. The restaurant staff in particular were always extremely polite and always greeted you with a welcoming smile.
We stayed in one of the Suites, which had a lovely view of the pool area and was very spacious and clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are hoping to return later this year.
“ Top Tip: Would recommend a drink at the "Posh Paddy" bar near the hotel where Brendan O'Brian plays each night. A very funny guy and a great musician!

“ Went here on other recommendations and was not disappointed. Hotel extremely clean and spacious, Beds, showers , air conditioning all first class. Food was varied and above usual standard for buffet style. Location suited us well, we were a group of 4 cycling for a week, excellent bike hire close by, bike storage available at the hotel. would certainly recommend this hotel.
