rooms basic, bit of a musty smell but very clean. breakfast fine. the beautiful view from the pool and bar and terrace where you have breakfast makes up for the basic room. lovely pool lots of sunbeds, not suitable for anyone with walking difficultiies as high up a steep hill with lots of steps. would love to go back, nice and quiet hotel with amazing views.

Top Tip: visited Deia as we had a car, very beautiful. Restaraunt Es Faro hard to find on light house rd, hotel will book for you and arrange taxi, expensive but lovely views over the bay and excellent food/wine.

One cannot tick any of the above boxes without commenting on the need to descend and climb a great many steps and steep road to and from beach. This does affect accessibility and inclination to go out more than once per day! Otherwise, hotel is delightful, with mostly extremely friendly and helpful staff - excluding barman, chef and driver. Very charming manager. rooms basic but fine and clean, and views from hotel quite stunning. Food was ok - very good breakfast buffet, but evening buffet, though plentiful and nourishing, a little basic. However, extremely good value.

Top Tip: Good value in Puerto Soller is Roma/Amor restaurant. In Deia, Xelini Restaurant, and in Palma Forn Sant Joan Restaurant. Top tip for tourists wanting to spend a day in Palma without dragging luggage around before flying home, there is a "Lock and Go" luggage repository near the bus station. Lovely Porto Soller receptionist found it on internet for us.

When we arrived they seemed flummoxed and did not have a room ready for use but sent us to the bar for a free drink. they then put us in a small room at the back with a large (single?) bed against a wall (no 415) saying it would be for one night only. we had to put our luggage in a storage room and did get another room the next afternoon.

Our shower went wrong and they promised a plumber would fix it that evening but he didn't, it was eventually fixed during breakfast the next morning.

Breakfast buffet and swimming pool vg, views wonderful but lots of steps to the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here and didn't find the steps too much of a challenge - it's a really short walk to the centre of the port and the tram stop to Soller is very close by. The hotel bedroom and corridor decor is a little tired and dated but the sea view from our room was beautiful and the communal areas seemed very smart. We didn't spend much time in the room so it suited us perfectly. It was spotlessly clean.

Breakfast was pretty good in our opinion, lots of choice, but we were B&B so didn't try the evening food - far too many other places to visit!

We visited in the height of peak season and did find that some other guests were reserving sunloungers first thing and then not using them all day which was a little annoying, but we always managed to find a couple of loungers in the end. This isn't really the hotel's fault, but it's something to keep in mind if this type of thing concerns you - you need to play the same game I guess! Also, a small complaint is that there should be more parasols on the pool terrace as it was super hot when we visited, but there was plenty of shade at the poolside bar.

It's a great area and we felt this hotel offered good value for money.

Top Tip: We strongly recommend Nautilus, which is on the opposite side of the road to the hotel if you head to the right as you come out of the main hotel reception. The food was the best we ate and the sunset here is stunning. In fact, if you are half board at the hotel you should still come here for a sunset drink as you can get a table easily before the rush for food starts a bit later.

Exactly what I'd expect from a real Spanish hotel - excellent service; clean & comfortable rooms. Good sized pool with lovely views of Porto Soller, which are even better from the rooftop terrace. 300m to the port & beaches & enough bars & eateries for a whole summer!

Top Tip: Nautilus Bar, 50m opposite the hotel car park. Dinner on the terrace with sunset over the Med!
