Golf Beach Hotel

“ this is our second stay in this hotel and would go back again, the only thing I would comment on is the pilliows are needing to be re-newed. They are very, very flat and we had to ask for a second one to put on top.

“ Top Tip: There are a few good restaurants nearby, Bobby's for reakfast and Scott's for dinner both only 5 mins walk from the hotel.

“ The hotel gives excellent value for money and probably deserves more than the 2 stars it has. The room was clean and reasonably sized and the maid attended every day I was there. I went on a room-only basis as I'd read some reviews that said the breakfasts weren't up to much and I can confirm there are ample places to eat breakfast out at reasonable prices in the resort.

“ Top Tip: I ate at the Watering Hole more than once and found the quality and quantity of food to be excellent. They also had Sky Sports for the football so that was an extra plus-point for me. I would recommend others give it a try and also Bobby's for breakfasts.

“ This hotel is very basic and on a very busy main road and the food is very poor.On the plus side,the room was cleaned every day and clean towels provided every few days however,the sheets are only changed once a week and in the heat of summer this is not sufficient.Although there is a fan in the room,it only revolves very slowly and does little to cool the room down.During my stay at Golf Beach Hotel,the outside tempretures were in the mid to high 30's(90f plus) and the room was over 40c and sleep was impossible.Yes,you can hire a fridge and an air conditioning unit but this would almost double the cost of a stay in Golf Beach Hotel plus you still have to buy one or two more meals a day making it much more attractive to go to an air conditioned hotel in a quieter area on half-board in the first instance,which is what I shall do in future.If you are young,partying and eating burgers,rolls etc out then as a cheap hotel,Golf Beach Hotel might be fine for you.

“ Top Tip: Classic Grill serves very good lunches and dinners and the Royal Garden at the Costa Del La Calma does very good breakfasts.

“ Have stayed at this lovely hotel before and always get looked after by Peter and Tony. Rooms are great and cleaned all the time, the bar is superb and offers a nice menu for snacks etc, and has a couple of tv's with all sports on. the pool is excellent and plenty of room for all. There are several fantastic restaurants and bars nearby. There is also a courtesy room for customers to use if you have a late flight on departure so you can spend your last few hours on the beach as we always like to do and then go back and get showered and changed to be fresh for the journey home.
