“ La Magdelena is isolated on part of a development in a golfing complex in the countryside about 20 minutes' drive from Antequera. The complex is unfinished, so parts of the grounds are not attractive and the road in is quite rough in places. However, the hotel, in a renovation of an old convent, is attractive and has pleasant views over hillsides of olive trees. Our room was well appointed and was very quiet. The staff were very helpful. It is an excellent place for a peaceful stay and seems to have an excellent restaurant although we did not eat here. It would not be suitable for anyone wanting an exciting nightlife.
“ Top Tip: A few good restaurants and bars in the town of Antequera, but not a place for ravers.

“ An attractively converted convent, located in a new golf development about 5km from the historic city of Antequera. Little amenties in the immediate location of the hotel but a good centre for exploring the region or to travel to Malaga airport.

The Hotel was very comfortable as were the bedrooms our only criticism is that the leisure & spa facilities were needing maintenance and a good clean generally. There were no staff in attendance.
The staff all seemed very friendly and helpful.
“ Top Tip: We found a very friendly restaurant serving traditional Antequerian fayre called Las Hazuelas in the Museum Square in nearby Antequera. Worth a visit.
