This is a family owned hotel on the outskirts of Alhaurin el Grande in southern Spain.
The setting is stunning with amazing views over the mountains and valley. Most rooms cost the same price so specifically ask for a room with a view.
The receptionist also prepares breakfast and the different reception staff speak English. They are warm and informal. The mark of a good hotel is not that everything is perfect at all times, but how they deal with issues when there is a problem. When I had a slight problem, the receptionist dealt with it without any drama. There is lots of soap and shampoos and the towels and sheets were clean and fresh. If you want tea in your room, you have to bring a travel kettle. The hotel also has free Wi Fi for residents.
So would I go back to this hotel..?? Yes, absolutely. It has a stunning swimming pool area and if you like plants and a country setting then this could be the place for you. Maybe see you there....:-)

Top Tip:
You will need a car if you stay in this hotel, but you can dip into the noise and night life of Alhaurin el Grande and then escape to the peace and tranquility of this hotel.
If you want a place to eat the two best places in Alhaurin are Casa Paco on the main street (Calle Gerard Brennan), and the Gondola (in Gondola St off the main street). There is also a new English cafe which does superb food called Cafe 119 with free Wi Fi.

A really nice, typically old style spanish hotel. Very clean. Beautiful mountain scenery. Friendly staff. Would definitely use again.

“ Top Tip: We did not explore the surrounding area as we were on route elsewhere but I am sure there was lots to explore round the area.
