The residence is a traditional Andalusian hotel which enjoys all the comforts and facilities of a modern hotel. It is just 15 km from the sun-drenched beaches of the Costa del Sol and 4 km from Alhauren el Grande, a traditional Andalusian village with over 300 days of sunshine per year, where there are numerous shops and a great variety of restaurants and bars.
Melaga Airport is only 19 km away.The rooms include an en suite bathroom, telephone, TV, air conditioning and heating and a balcony or terrace.The outdoor area includes a large swimming pool with a sun terrace, sun loungers and parasols. The hotel also features its own solarium. There is a 9-hole golf course 1 km away, and some of the finest golf courses in the region are around 5 km away.From Melaga Airport, after the roundabout take the right lane toward Cediz (N-340). After 1 km take the first exit (after a pedestrian bridge) toward Churriana (Coen) (A-404). Follow this road for about 17 km (through 6 roundabouts). Just before the kilometre 12 mark, turn right at the hotel sign. The hotel is 400 m down the lane.The hotel is non-smoking. It only serves vegetarian dishes and does not serve alcohol.

“ It is a wonderful peacefull hotel where you can meditate if you wish, stroll in the gardens and eat fresh fruit from the trees. There is an excellent local restaurant and you get a great Spainish breakfast at the hotel. It is a good base to get as far as Alahmbra, Ronda and Cordaba.

We would definitely stay here again, it was the most relaxing holiday we have had but you will need transport if want to do day trips when you stay at this hotel. The breakfasts were more than enough but the food in the evenings was quite limited, we usually had dinner when we were out and about. The Hotel Kadampa is small, quiet and relaxing with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere it has a swimming pool and a place where you can meditate. Club 18 -30 it is not!
“ Top Tip: There are many beaches to visit the closest being Malaga about 25 mins away but I would not recommend the city or the beach. Marbella was lovely and the town is worth a visit. For a quieter beach head towards Nerja as this side of Malaga is less developed (for now).

This hotel is designed for people who want a quiet, restful and relaxing break. It is run by a Buddhist group and is therefore alcohol free, vegetarian and non-smoking i.e. not suitable for mindless morons.
I have never had such an fantastic relaxing and rejuvenating holiday in my whole life.

“ Exactly right for us - friendly, helpful, non-smoking and vegetarian. Wonderful atmosphere.
“ Top Tip: Regarding the nearest towns, Alhuirin de la Torre more pleasant than Alhuirin le Grande - quieter and better choice of food - especially if you are looking for vegetarian.

“ We were unaware that the hotel was a meditation centre, as as such sold no alcohol, no meat, and there was no english televison sets working, they were not connected to sky dishes - It was not a major concern for myself, though it could be for future travellers
“ Top Tip: The bus services was good, though infrequent.
