The hotel is situated within a former flour mill dating back to the 19th century and was converted into the present establishment, comprising a total of 19 modern rooms, in 2001. Facilities on offer include a foyer with 24-hour reception, a cosy bar, and a restaurant serving both traditional and innovative dishes. There is a play area available for younger guests and on-site parking spaces for those arriving by car.This hotel is located in El Chorro, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Melaga, and is the perfect location for a relaxing stay amidst wonderful scenery. Guests can take in views of the nearby reservoir lake and the surrounding landscape.The comfortable and tastefully fitted rooms all come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a kitchenette with fridge, and centrally regulated air-conditioning and heating.
In addition, a number of rooms have been built in maisonette style and feature both a small salon and a spacious terrace.There is a swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use in the attractive outdoor complex of the hotel. In addition, guests may take advantage of a range of free-time activities in the surrounding area, including horse-riding, mountain climbing, or mountain bike tours.From Melaga take the A7 motorway in direction Almerea. Exit the motorway at Universidad Certama and continue in the direction of Campillos. This attractive road leads directly to El Chorro, where the hotel can be found on a hillside.
If coming from Sevilla, turn off at the Ronda de Andalucea (A92) roundabout in the direction of Campillos. From Granda and Cerdoba drive to Antequera and then in the direction of Campillos.

The hotel was in a really beautiful setting with views over a reservoir and a mountainous backdrop.Situated in the hills about an hours drive from Malaga it is definately not your typical tourist hotel. Believe English owners or English people with a financial interest, it is run by Spanish people with very limited knowledge of English. This added to the fun trying to make ourselves understood and by the end of the holiday we were ordering, or trying to, in Spanish.
The rooms were basic and open plan. Although the two bedrooms and the living area and the bathroom were seperate the walls of each did not go right up to the roof. They were more partition walls with no ceilings. This was okay and probably kept the whole place cooler but we would have preferred a ceiling on the toilet!!!!
“ Top Tip: The food at the hotel restaurant was of a good standard, but we did find a lovely restaurant up in the hills about a 20 minute drive away called Bellarocca. It is well signed posted. A hacienda type building with a large covered terrace with stunning view over the hills surrounded by Olive Trees and Fruit trees and Almond Trees. Nearby are some lakes again with stunning views. We went there often to laze, pic-nic and swim. Plenty of walks nearby. Not your typical tourist area but will go again.

The hotel is perfect for rock climbers/mountain bikers due to its location. The views are stunning except for the hydro electric power station and pylons.
Would highly recommend trying their restaurant probably the best in the local area.
Heavy cases can be a problem if your upstairs.
Staff are very friendly but take your spanish dictionary with you
Overall very happy with our stay.
“ Top Tip: The local lakes are stunning, very close to the Kings Path Walkway. Check out El Torcal also for some stunning rock formations.

“ Tasteful, very clean and well maintained hotel. I was given a room upgrade, because the hotel was not busy, automatically without even asking. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.

“ This hotel was good with an excellent location for central plaza and cathedral. The decor was dark but neat. The room comfortable with very good washing facilities, free wifi and good service, no bar exists.

La Hacienda apartments are located in Benalmadena village, in a modern comlex with standards apartments, penthouses, and apartments with garden and parking. All apartments have 1 room. Complete bathroom, electric kitchen totally eqquiped, refrigerator with freezer, microwave with grill, dishwasher and washing machine. Standards apartments have a big terrace. Penthouse have a top floor terrace with shower, deckchairs, table, charis, pergola and panoramic views. Also, we have apartments with private garden with shower.

“ Friendly and helpful staff. Alicia speaks excellent English, and provided an information pack which was both interesting and useful. Appartments are very comfortable and have been tastefully re-furbished. Kitchenette fine, but no kettle which I think should be provided as standard, but otherwise adequately equipped.
