We visited out of season, so it was quite quiet. Service very good. The rooftop sun terrace was a good spot to start an evening, with good views of the area.
El burgo is a small white village an hour or so's drive inland from Malaga.
Off the beaten track but very friendly.
A Handy base for exploring the region, eg. Ronda, Tolox, etc.
Recommended.

“ This hotel was ideal for us. It is in a small town about 45 mins drive (through some amazing scenery) from Ronda. El Burgo is at the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves national park where the walking and wildlife are superb. There were enough low key, local places to eat in the evenings.

“ The hotel is fine and the staff helpful. However door is kept locked so have to ring bell. Breakfast was average.
“ Top Tip: There is very little entertainment in this town. Good for hikes or discovering other towns. There is a good restaurant just opposite hotel.

“ Very good deal, very nice people. We had a little mishap on the way we did arrive very late at the hotel and told us we reached when we could without any problem. Also I went to run a marathon of MTB bikes and kept us (me and other runners staying there) in a store for not having to leave them in the street. A nice touch for those of us running every day. The large room was not lacking any detail and very clean. Breakfast plentiful and varied, and the race day ahead breakfast time especially for runners. Another great detail. To give some but perhaps a mini-fridge in the room would be fine.
