Generally it was good and the staff were very helpful. Having booked a single room I was concerned that I would get a nasty single bed but this was not the case. The room and bathroom were clean and it was very good to have a safe in the room. I went out for the evening and felt confident that my valuables were in fact safe. I had one of the front rooms with floor to ceiling French Doors and a small balcony overlooking the Atarazanas Market.
The included breakfast was good, apart from very rubbery eggs, and the oil which I poured lavishly onto my toasted roll was, of course, delicious. I was underwhelmed by the coffee provided in a flask but, the very accommodating waiter brought me an espresso, with hot milk on the side, which was very much better! And, at no extra cost.
My one criticism, and it is a significant one, is that the bedding stank of stale smoke. I don't know if it was just my room or just the most recent previous occupier of my room but it smelt pretty ingrained. As a non-smoker, this is absolutely disgusting!
However, the hotel is well situated for the excellent market as mentioned, the beach, cafes and restaurants, the magnificent Cathedral, and the beautiful, understated Alcazaba. I would recommend it, and i would go back, with the above caution.

“ A good hotel which is very near to the centre and all of its amenities. The service was a bit slow in the morning but as with other Andalucian hotels, the staff's general friendliness is fantastic.
“ Top Tip: Go to the covered market across the road, and sample some of the fruits. Also sample the sherry in any of the local bars.

“ Good place for short stay in Malaga.. Very near main areas of interest.Ideal stay for shopping etc. Walking distance to El Corte Ingles, Larios shopping mall. We walked as far as Mario Zebrano train station about 20 mins.Near to bus stops for airport..2 mins down street about 20 min journey.. Fabulous Christmas atmosphere with xmas lights in all areas..
“ Top Tip: Try the cafe next door..Los Pueblos for breakfast coffee..tea.. and croissants 5 euros. Local market selling fresh fruit very cheap across street.. Nice restaurant by cathedral..

“ Hotel was very good onl. bed linen and towels changed every couple of days. Perfect location for city centre and only a short walk to the beach. Sometimes could be a little noisy at night but closing all shutters did keep out noise.
“ Top Tip: We hired bikes for a day great cycling along beach front very flat
