El Cenachero hotel is situated in a popular fishermen and quiet district of Malaga city known as el Palo. The hotel is easily accessible from the highway and just 30 minutes away from Malaga international airport. Well served by public transport, it is possible to reach the most attractive destinations of the city in just a few minutes. All the apartments are spacious and comfortably decorated. There is a terrace roof in the building equipped with chairs, tables, sunshades and deckchairs where guests can sunbathe or relax.

“ In 30 years of travel I can honestly say that this was the worst apartmemnt I have had the misforune to be accommodated in. On arrival we found the main door to the building locked and no instructions as to how to gain entry. Banging on the door didn't work so I eventually started pressing all the entry buzzers which eventually elicited a response. The apartment itself was small and dingy - old furniture and filthy cutlery/dishes etc - and don't start me on the microwave - yuk. Unpacked and decided to go for a walk - well when I say unpacked we left tyhe majority of our clothes in our cases -there were three hangers in the ramshackle wardrobe - one of which was broken. The apartment itself is sitated in a back stret which was filthy and the area immediately outside was littered with dog extrement - lovely. On the upside the apartment is 5 to 10 minutes walk from the beach although this takes in a busy main road. There are few open restuarants in the vicinity although, to be fair the time of year (Feb) may have had a lot to do with that. Back to the aprtment. We stuck it out for 4 days during which time the bedding nor towels were changed. The main room light bulb blew on our second night and havng reported it to reception - well when I say reception I actually mean a table stuck in a stairwell (It was supposed to be manned at certain times through the day which didn't really happen). Anyway, it took 2 days for them to get around to changing the bulb. Bottom line is - this place would get a lower range hostel a bad name. Do yourself a favour and give it a wide berth.

“ The relationship between price and quality was excellent. The location was very good. In a picturesque part of the town, near to facilities including 24 hour buses, internet cafe and supermarkets. The landlady was very kind, approachable, and also very considerate of our privacy. The apartment was very clean and complete with all essentials. We had a very pleasant stay.
“ Top Tip: On the bus route to the east coast of Spain, all buses stop at El Palo. Non-commercial beach used mainly by the local population.

“ seeing that it was self catering should be checked to see if all utensils are there we had to ask for cups and a pan to boil water in no kettle no glasses but flat its self was clean and tidy and who ever was managing it was very pleasant only complaint was rather noisy teenagers on mopeds riding round after midnight and our flat was next to a garage door which was shut early hours of the morning and opened again 7ish every morning
