This was our 3rd visit to this hotel in 12 months which must say something.The best feature was the price,and also easy reach by foot or buses to city centre.The pool and garden was pleasant and the beach is across the road.The rooms are roomy and well cleaned with no extra for sea view.
On the minus side we wished the reception staff would be more cheerful and approachable,and the food was edible but of school meals standard.It has to said that the roads back and front are busy and might not suit everybody.
Overall value for money,and lovely climate,but not many British or English language,which suits us.

GOOD value for price, room was cleaned every day , we had view on the sea , beach is just outside hotel ( La Malgueta)- city centre is just 20 - 25minutes walk from hotel, bus station and train station ( Maria zambrano) about 30-40 minutes walk.
breakfast - not bad, but missing fried or scrambled eggs, so good continental breakfast but they could add eggs

Top Tip:
Alcazaba - 20 minutes walk from hotel
if you want to see more than just Malaga , I would recommended bus trips :to Granada - 1.45 hrs - about 20 euro return ( beautifull Alhambra)
Ronda - 2hrs - 18 euro return (los amarillos buses)

“ A good hotel which is very near to the centre and all of its amenities. The service was a bit slow in the morning but as with other Andalucian hotels, the staff's general friendliness is fantastic.

The city hotel was renovated in 2004 and consists of a 9-storey main building and a 5-storey annexed annexe block with a total of 118 rooms of which 12 are singles, 100 are doubles and 6 are suites. Facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange facility and a lift. Other facilities include a café, a bar, a TV room, a games room, an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant, a conference room, an Internet terminal as well as a car park and a garage. The hotel additionally offers a room and laundry service for guests. The plush, welcoming rooms are en suite and fitted with a hairdryer. They are equipped with a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, Internet access, central heating, a hire safe, a sitting area and a minibar.
“ The room and bathroom was expetional. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and the staff were very helpful. The location is great for visiting the bars and reastaurants aroudnt the old town. Will book this hotel again

The hotel is situated in the historical centre of the village and provides a perfect blend of traditional style and architecture with modern services and amenities. All 35 guest rooms are spacious and comfortable and are very well equipped with the latest facilities. The hotel restaurant has an excellent culinary selection and there is an extensive range of snacks available in the cafe. The swimming pool offers stunning views.
“ Very very nice hotel, although we found it with difficulty. Its on the main street. Nice, slightly smaller than average room but very confortable. The balcony overlooked the main street but this was no problem.

The La Fonda Apartments are located in a quaint, typically white Andalusian village of Benalmadena Pueblo, just 5km from the coast and beaches. “ La Fonda apartment was a really good place to spend our time at the Pueblo. Its location was very close to very lovely restaurants with very cheap food and wine. Also, its location is on top of the mountains so you can go walking the mountains or just taking a 25 mins walk to the beach.
