A luxury four star state owned hotel on the golf course and a short walk to the beach. The enchantment of the Costa del Sol region of Andalucia is based on its climate, beaches, golf courses, hedges of flowers and pretty villages. The Parador is on one of the oldest golf courses in the region which was designed by Tom Simpson, the architect of Turnberry and Muirfield courses in Scotland, and opened in 1925. There are spacious and bright bedrooms with beautiful views of the sea, the large swimming pool and of the golf course.

The decoration of the living rooms, the lobby and the dining room are of light tones that are characteristic of the Costa del Sol area. During the meal a Valdepenas wine compliments the cooking and at the end of the meal a glass of one of the delightful Malaga dessert wines should be enjoyed. While visiting Malaga try not to miss the cathedral, the Alcazaba (fortress), the Roman Theatre, and Picasso‘s birthplace. You may also discover the Arabic baths, Ronda bullring, as well as the villages of Mijas, Marbella and Nerja.

We have stayed at this hotel previously - it is less than 10 minutes' drive from Malaga airport, so is ideal for the first or last night of a holiday.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, well-laid out, very clean and comfortable, and thoroughly sound-proofed, so no problems with noise from planes - there are very few flights in late evening, in any case.
All rooms have a balcony or verandah, overlooking the gardens or golf course, and the sea. There is direct access to the beach.
Breakfast spread is amazing - allow plenty of time to enjoy it!
We also find the evening meals very good, and quite reasonably priced. Some of the staff can seem unfriendly at first, but seem to respond well if you are pleasant to them. We have always found the service good.

This is the first time we have booked through Travel Republic, and it is by far the best price for this hotel - will certainly use your service again, thank you!

Read mixed reviews before we left. No mixed feelings about the Parador. It was excellent from the moment we arrived. Have been going to the Costa Del Sol for 30 years and although we had played the course we did not know the hotel. It is a gem. We arrived early before official check in and were given vouchers for a drink at the bar. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. The room was large clean and bright with direct access to teh gardens and pool. The small private beach was excellent and right at the end of the garden. the food was excellent and they are celebrating 80 years of culinary delights!

Bar service is a bit slow but they went the extra mile after hours. the pool is safe and serviced by a lifeguard.

Most of the holidaymakers have been going there for years - some for generations of their families. We spent 4 days there and will be back.

Top Tip: Play the course. It's flat and challenging!

Walk from the Parador beach to the Torremolinos beaches and then on to the Paseo Maritimo.

Eat in any of the wonderful chinguritos along the beaches at Los Alamos and Playamar.

Talk a walk from the Parador driveway across the roadway roundabouts. (Watch the traffic!) and discover Playa Major a major shopping and entertainment complex.

Discover the train at Plaza Major. Its a state of the art service which goes to Malaga in one direction and all the way to Fueringola in the other with stops in between.

Spend a day at the Port and in the Old Town at Malaga.

Lunch in the cafes at Torremolinos near the old windmill tower itself.

Sample the delights of breakfast and dinner in Parador.

Come home relaxed and happy.

Having stayed at many Paradors the standard is allways set. Have stayed at this hotel previously when we fly in or out of Malaga. By far the best hotel in the area even if you are not a golfer. It is close to both the airport and Torremolinos but in a quiet ideal situation. The breakfast is superb with a huge variety. Every time we stay here we find all the staff most friendly and helpful. This stay we were upgraded to a suite which is very good with four poster bed and spa bath can recommend strongly. Hotel is very clean

Top Tip: We try to have one meal at Pizza Mare Restaurant on the Playa at Torremolinos near to the Melia Hotel. If you like very good Italian food overlooking the beach go here.
