This is a good all round business hotel with a very impressive reception, ample breakfast and spacious bedroom/bathroom standards which we were especially impressed with the bathroom and it's given set of compliments.
Staff were friendily and had greeted us with polite Engilsh but could not hold a lengthy conversation.
It is especially suitable for romantic couples & older folk with good travel savvy as the bus and train connections were right out side this hotels door. We must mention too, we did see younger people and families using it too!.
The Hotel location is not in city Malaga but more in a residential/local commerial area which had makes it more reasonable, especially if you were to purchase local produce or use a taxi @ (4-6Euro).
The reason why, I dont give 10/10, for this hotel, is that the hotel reception staff failed to inform me, before use, that the spa facility, jacuzzi and sauna room werent working.....and once found,,, the lounger area was very untidy with used towels laying on the floor and had been uninviting to rest.
The puerto of Malaga was exactly 10 mins away on an easy bus route to the final destination point of Plaza de Marina (single way 1 Euro 20c). The port opened up in historical splendor and was noted that this port has made great effort to clean up the streets and to use good location street signage for their dating 11th century buildings of interest. The plaza de Marina is very attractive with its lined gardens and palm trees on the concordo dock area for the reception of cruise ships.
The city sure boosted its own charm, and surprisingly was not filled with over commericalised tourist shops...with hassling shop attendants..
The choice of Spanish tapas restaurants were fabulous, with one exception to a sickening visit to D'Argusto found on the last street on the left, as you walk up the main shopping mall street..
Please be prepared to speak with polite Spanish phases as these shop attendants arent fluent English speakers and even though not confident to speak another language it really did create a great sense of fun trying it!

Plaza 16 was our hi light, as it was the most romantic renaissance period art deco restaurant and @ Lo Gueno for its meat flavours, as the food hit ever sense with our choice of wine!
I will revisit this hotel and have no hestation, to recommending it highly!
Dont believe every thing you read if someone is nit picking this hotel cause in my honest review opinion, you will not be dissappointed with this hotels held 4 star standards....

Top Tip: Our best ever eating experience was with Plaza 16 with Resena in attendance and Lo Gueno with Bruno in attendance. simply delisho!
Negiotating our pony and carriage ride @(25-30Euro)
Alazcabra castle is also not to be missed if you really appreciate such history.

The hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was of an excellent standard with a great assortment of meats, cheese, fruit and cereals in fact it would have been difficult to find fault with anything. An added bonus was it was very near the railway station..

Top Tip: A train from the airport to the hotel only cost 1.40 euros

Friendly helpful staff. Spa lacked a pool and steam room. Couldn't really call it a Spa. The gym facilities were quite poor and not a lot of them.

I read the reviews before I went. When I got there I wondered what hotel some of them had stayed in because I thought it was very good in every respect.
