Built in 2003, this hotel offers the best comforts over three floors with a total of 10 rooms, of which one is a single room and 9 are doubles. It offers mountains and the sea as well as relaxation for the body and soul.Situated on a hill, right in the centre of Mijas, the hotel enjoys stunning views of the coastline and the incomparable peace and quiet. Guests are able to enjoy an ideal location, only 20 minutes away from Marbella and Malaga. A variety of shopping venues, bars/pubs and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity, as are links to the public transport network.
The sandy beach is around 4 km from the hotel and the transfer time to the airport is around 20 minutes.All the rooms are bright and friendly and enjoy a view of the sea. They are individually air-conditioned and heated and include an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, a TV, a DVD player, a minibar, a safe and a balcony or a terrace.Along with plenty of other activities, guests have the opportunity to see a bull fight in one of the best Spanish arenas, to go angling, enjoy a boat trip along the coast or relax with a massage. “ The hotel was clean, beautifully designed and furnished, the staff were kind and helpful and made you feel at home. I was in a quiet area down a small side street. Big flat screen in the room as well as a CD player. I would go back.
“ Top Tip: Bar El Refugio gave you a free tapas with your drink.

Lovely rooms but not ideal if the weather is bad because there is no where else to go in the building other than your room.
No staff on desk except at odd times so not ideal if you have a problem.
Quite hard to find - I think a map on the website would be helpful.

“ If you do not want to stay in a big hotel, this is definitely recommended. Situated in a very quiet spot yet only a few steps away from restaurants and bars. Spotlessly clean and the lady was so pleasant and helpful. It felt like staying in a Spanish home. One word of warning, you have to carry your bag up quite a few steps to reach the hotel so not for those with mobility problems.
“ Top Tip: El Olivar restaurant beside the Town Hall was recommended by the lady at the hotel. Very good food, really enjoyed it. Portions are generous.

The residence is a traditional Andalusian hotel which enjoys all the comforts and facilities of a modern hotel. It offers bungalow style rooms opening onto the lawns around the pool, and rooms with terraces and balconies in the main building offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Some facilities offered include a pleasant lobby, safe, cloakroom, air-conditioned Cafe, conference room, wireless Internet access and car park.
“ It is a wonderful peacefull hotel where you can meditate if you wish, stroll in the gardens and eat fresh fruit from the trees. There is an excellent local restaurant and you get a great Spainish breakfast at the hotel. It is a good base to get as far as Alahmbra, Ronda and Cordaba.

“ Hotel very central and very nice, close to everything and extremely courteous, very friendly and nice. The room had a flat screen TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, etc.. The mattress and the bed very good. The very good price. The only flaw is that the room not facing the street and the bathroom was dirty.

Hacienda Puerta del Sol is located in the centre of the Costa del Sol, with Fuengirola beach only a short distance away. The hotel offers 130 large comfortable bedrooms tastefully decorated and well equipped with the latest facilities and amenities. Other features include a bar for guests to relax in and a restaurant serving a varied menu.
“ We had a lovely stay at this Hotel, unfortunately we went in January and there wasn't much on, the indoor pool wasn't available and there was no evening dinner, only snack menu, which meant we had to go out for dinner every evening, but very comfortable and clean, I'd say in the higher season there would be more to do. Very pleasant stay though.
