This is an excellent and stylish small city hotel with lots of character. A few minutes walk through the narrow streets of Mao brings you into the centre. The harbour area is another 5 minutes walk so great location for a city hotel. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are as good if not better than many 4 star properties we have stayed in. There is a small breakfast/dining room on the ground floor as well as a small courtyard. The breakfast was rather limited even for continental standards but this wasn't a big issue to us. They do advertise evening meals but as the hotel was very quiet we didn't notice anyone eating during the evening and with loads of places to eat in Mao this again was not an issue. The young lady who runs the hotel was very friendly and made us most welcome even though her English was very limited. We did notice there was a small terrace area on the top floor which you could sit and catch some rays, but it wouldn't be a place where you would spend all day sunbathing.
I think only 1 of the rooms has a terrace so if your not too bothered about a room with a balcony or terrace and want a small and chic city hotel you won't find much better than this!

Top Tip:
Good selection of restaurants in Mao and great to watch all the cruise liners coming in and out of the port which is the biggest in the Med! Take the 1 hour harbour cruise which is a great way to see Mao and all the sights around the port.
Easy to get around on the local buses, the bus station is a 10 minute walk from the hotel.

Situated in a quiet road on the edge of the central shopping district.
My room was large, imaginatively decorated - one wall is stone, lit by floor-set uplighters. Television has 25 channels - all in Spanish or Catalan (apart from "learn English TV"). Room safe, but mine was still locked from the previous inhabitant. Lots of light fittings, but quite hard to get a good light to read by. Room overlooked an inner courtyard with seats (not in use). Effective heating (a real boon in February), though all controls other than on/off have been sealed off. Fridge for minibar.
Bathroom has modern fixtures: plugs in the basin and bidet work by pushing once to seal, again to release (did not seal). Jacuzzi-style bath. Good shower.
Breakfast was an adequate buffet: fruit, joghurt, lots of pastries, toast. Poor lighting.
No IT terminal available, but at each end of the street there is an internet shop.

This is a small complex of 34 apartments for 2/4 persons near the harbour of Mahón. All the apartments have 1 double bedroom and a lounge with a double sofa bed. Other amenities include a TV, telephone, air conditioning, bathroom, kitchenette and terrace. Outside the apartments there is a Garden with swimming-pool, bar, restaurant. The apartments are ideally situated just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Mahón.

The RTM Capri is located right in the heart of Mahon, just minutes walk from the many bars, shops and restaurants and in a perfect spot for exploring the culture and history of the island. The hotel features 75 rooms all with balconies, elegantly decorated and equipped with air conditioning, minibar, television and safe (at a charge). The hotel has a fitness area on the terrace, with spectacular views across the city and the port. Facilities include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, steam bath, gym and multi-jet showers.
“ We were disappointed that the swimming pool was being refurbished and we did not know this until on arrival so there was no outside space to relax. Overall the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Hotel Port Mahon is ideally located in the most stylish residential area of Mahon with beautiful views of the harbour. This colonial style hotel has 73 air conditioned bedrooms all well decorated and equipped with modern amenities including television, telephone and minibar. The hotel also has a restaurant, a piano bar, café, outdoor swimming pool and splendid sun terrace on-site.
“ We stayed for one night on 21st October 2011 at the end of a two week holiday. We had come straight from a villa and were returning the next day. We found everything neat, clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet being end of season, but still all services were running.
