Poor - Unsatisfactory.
Very bad smell - musty and sulphuric smell emmenating from drain/shore in en-suite bathroom.
Very dated appartments - where all facilities are old , well worn, used and indeed broken.
Kitchen presses broken, drawers damaged. toilet handles breaking constantly. floor tiles all marked , cracekd and damaged. mattrersses and pillows worn and shabb y. towels nearly transparent with wear.
No air-conditioning. No fan.

“ We arrived late due to flight delay, dropped at Cala Blanca hotel, walked to apartments in darkness(midnight). Phoned the number on notice board, there was no booking for us. We had to find a taxi to drive us to all local hotels, eventually found two rooms in hotel in Ciutadella,at 0200. A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Got to the apartments next day after phone calls to UK. We found the apartment very basic,SMELLY (drains), and NOISY at night, but we had a great week, lovely weather. The pool was great for the children as not used much by other visitors. An information pack would be very useful, or go to nearby hotels which all have local info. The bus stop to Ciutadella is across the road, great for an evening out.Two bathrooms useful and clean but one bath un useable due to hole in the base of it. The cleaner is around most days, but we had toask for sheets &towels. Again, info about this& where to put rubbish, etc should be provided in a welcome pack.
“ Top Tip: The bus to Ciutadella gives a better choice of cafes and restaurants. It is a beautiful city.

“ We arrived at the apartment and it was absolutely disgusting. It smelt very damp and musty. None of the doors or windows locked properly and the cupboard doors were falling off. It was totally unacceptable. I called the rep and they immediately got us moved to the Club Andria which was much better (apart from the ant problem in the kitchen).

It was our first time to Cala Blanca, and were very happy with the resort. Plenty of places to eat out, and the beach was across the road from our apartments. The buses were frequent into Ciutadella, a beautiful historical town about 20mins on the bus. (approx 3 euros). We had a lovely relaxing holiday. It was great to wind down.
We had very litttle trouble in our apt. Asked for a sea view and were lucky to get one! (All be it through the pine trees). The apartment was clean and towels changed every other day and bedlinen twice during our 11 night stay. You will need to take a kettle, we had a little travel one anyway as through experience in self catering apts in Spain they usually do not have kettles. No toasters either. You could cook a meal as there were all the utensils there, but we found the electric rings slow to heat up. But we could live with that. Everyone was very friendly, and we met people who had been coming back to Cala Blanca for years. We could see why!

Top Tip:
We walked around the coast line to view the beautiful sunsets from the East point of Cala Blanca. Don't miss that! A group of shops and restaurants are towards the top part also, we discovered 'Jenny's restaurant' - food great! Visit Ciutadella, to see the old historic town and cathedral. Architecture is beautiful. We did not hire a car, but we met people that did, and they enjoyed visiting the ancient settlements in the area. We enjoyed relaxing on the lovely clean beach with it's clear warm sea to swin in.
For a relaxing holiday in beautiful, peaceful surroundings, this is the place for you!
If you need to book a transfer service then we recommend TravelRepublic for that. The pick ups were on time and very reasonable. Very friendly and helpful, everything ran very smoothly.

The apartments are located overlooking the sea, between Santandria beach (300m) and Cala Blanca beach (600m). Two kilometres away from the town of Ciutadella. All apartments have a bathroom, living-room with sofa-beds, kitchen area and terrace. The Complex offers 2 outdoor swimming pools, with a separate area for children, minigolf and pool tables. Bar-restaurant with SKY TV open all day. We also sometimes offer entertainment for you to enjoy. The reception offers the usual services including car and bicycle hire, safety-deposit boxes, money exchange... always with pleasant personalised service.

The hotel represents a modern style and offers a total of 167 rooms, which are spread throughout 4 floors. “ Average hotel On arrival 22.30 met by a receptionist with cheerful personality given a piece of paper telling us where to go and what was on at the hotel signposted to restaurant where snacks where available, cold chips cold burgers and cold pasta and some stale bread cheese and ham.

The Vista Blanes Apartments are situated near to the Cala'n Blanes resort, on the west coast of Menorca. The apartments offer tranquillity and accessibility at only 150 metres from the beach and 2kms. from the town of Ciutadella. This complex is compiled of six buildings with a total of 192 apartments. It has an entrance hall with reception area and also an inviting bar/restaurant area. If you should need it, there is also a laundry service. Activities on offer are water aerobics, football, volleyball, pool table, children's entertainment, pool area and bicycle hire.
“ A great place for young families and couples. Handy for small local beach and for C'an Forcat (20 mins walk) also Ciutadella not too far to walk (40 mins walk). The hotel has a rustic feel the apparments are quite basic and somewhat dated now and no air con only fan in bedroom.

This friendly complex was completely renovated in 2010 and consists of a main building with a total of 73 apartments spread over 2 floors. Guests may make use of the charming pool and garden area, a reception desk, TV room, a cosy bar and a restaurant. It is also possible to hire bikes and a play area is provided for younger guests.
“ Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Children enjoyed the swimming pool and play park. My teen was happy with the pool table and netbooks in the lobby. Food was fabulous. It was all freshly cooked with quality ingredients and we really enjoyed our meals.

Siesta Playa Apartments are a privileged complex of apartments situated right on the beach of Cala’n Bosch and only 100 metres from the lively resort centre. Cala’n Bosch is one of the most popular holiday resorts on the island and offers a wide variety of restaurants, bar & shopping. The town of Ciutadella is just 10 km away and a regular bus service runs throughout the day and during the evening. Siesta Playa is divided in 5 separate buildings; it consists of 164 apartments, nearly all with fantastic sea views and air conditioning.
“ Good hotel with an excellent location and friendly helpful staff. Steps lead down from the pool area to a lovely small beach. Alternatively, take a right out of the pool area and you're 20m from the marina, which is full of bars and restaurants. Be aware though that the studio apartments have 2 'flimsy' single beds only!
