Average hotel On arrival 22.30 met by a receptionist with cheerful personality given a piece of paper telling us where to go and what was on at the hotel signposted to restaurant where snacks where available, cold chips cold burgers and cold pasta and some stale bread cheese and ham. Drinks where available from the bar, which you could take into the restaurant.
Needless to say I passed on this food selection and went to the bar for a drink generous measures and cheerful staff that spoke and understood English.
The room was very small with 2 single beds and a set of bunks I did ask reception for another room as we had no need for bunks no luck there as they said there was no availability I did find that hard to believe as the hotel was only half full.
The next day we ventured down for breakfast, food was below average mainly cold and as for lunch and dinner agin limited choice and always cold, there are very strict rules no food can be taken out of restaurant but they will let you take out a coffee to drink on the terrace.
The pool area was just OK limited amount of parasols but plenty of sun beds and no reserving of beds as they are all chained up until 8am.
I did observe that the pool was only cleaned once during my weeklong visit.
The entertainment team where a hoot very funny but not in your face.
The area of Cala Blanca is very pretty and has some great walks, great bus service right outside the hotel.
To summarise Fab friendly staff OK rooms and very poor quality food. Pool Like ice.
I would return to Cala Blanca but not this hotel.

My wife and i searched for a reasonably priced A.I place to stay for 4 nights in Menorca to check out for a weeks holiday for us and our 6 year old son and my Mum in law next year.
We came across Hi Cala Blanca hotel on your website and checked reviews on Tripadvisor ,we could not believe that the reviews were all so great not a bad word was said against this Hotel and we liked that they all said how quiet it was.
Well we came back on the 13th of Sept and all we can say is it was a great place to go ,from the entertainment to the local beach which is a small walk down the road ,the food was ample and a good selection and the a varied mixture of local drinks.
We liked it that much we tried on monday 12th to extend our break by 2 more nights to which we would like to thank Travelrepublic for all your help, your customer service is brilliant and will deffinatley use Travelrepublic everytime.

Top Tip:
We would recommend a nice evening walk approx 3/4 of a mile up the road to an Irish pub called the Blarney Stone .
It is on the front of small parade of resturants and bars and across the road is the coast which is just rocks and the sea and you can sit there with a drink and watch the sun set,it is beautifull.

This is lovely family oriented hotel with good facilities. it is clean friendly and well run. The entertainment emphasis is towards young families with excellent activities organised for children. The all inclusive deal (local beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks) ends at midnight, and the bars shut, so early nights unless you leave the complex, there are a few local bars and restaurants. There is no all inclusive Ice Cream for the children other than in the restaurant and this can only be consumed in the dining room. The food is adequate but quite often not hot enough, which I personally find unacceptable.
The local beach is stunning and made my holiday. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel in a good location. Very close to the small and often crowded beach. 18 euros to hire two sunbeds and an umbrella on the beach!!!!
Food at the hotel, was on the whole great. Always fresh and a reasonable choice. We only struggled to find something nice to eat, a couple of times in the evenings. The dining area can get crowded and some tables are to close together and to near where you que for the food. You have to get your drink (other than wine) from the bar and take it in with you. Silly idea that needs sorting. Great salads and fresh bread. The alcohol selection is very good and has a good selection. They also need to make an outdoor eating area.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Pool area is ok. Hygiene of the pool could do with improving, a funny sewage type smell on a few days!!
The rooms are ok. Small and no fridge or tea making facilities. But VERY, VERY clean. We asked for a double room and got two singles beds pushed together. Not on at all and apparently nothing they could do about it! Great air con in the room though!
Worst thing.........the walls are ridiculously thin, it's as if people are in your room. That did spoil a few nights sleep when people came back late.
Probably 6 out of 10. Would we go back, probably not, unless it was a good price.

Top Tip:
The coast path is very rugged and very hot during midday. Great walk though, but it is tough going. Ciutadella is lovely and the buses are cheap and regular.
Cala Blanca is a quiet and very small resort. Very peaceful and a great place to chill out and relax. We went when the kids were off school and it was still quiet!
DO NOT buy anthing from the shop/cafe on the beach!! Total rip off and the proper shop is a stones throw away. 2.50 euros for a can of coke!!!
