Alta Galdana Apartments

“ The hotel was a short walk up the hill from the beach, and then there were steps to the apartment, which gave us fantastic views. The owner was very accommodating and was happy for us to move apartments for a better view and to keep our room until our transfer time. Good facilities, including kettle and toaster, there were plenty of local supermarkets to buy provisions from.

“ Top Tip: Sa Lluna restaurant, at the entrance to the apartments was excellent. The food was freshly prepared and there was a good vegetarian choice.

“ The Alta Galdana Appartments were perfect for our requirements. The accomodation is basic but clean and as we were near the top of the complex we had a private roof terrace.The views over Cala Galdana from here are excellant and had the sun from dawn to dusk.The steps up to the appartments may be an issue for elderly visitors.

“ This is the third time we have stayed here and as always it was good for us. Marcos the owner is a lovely bloke who always makes you feel welcome. The appartment was clean as always and a big plus is how comfortable the beds are here, you really do get a good nights sleep. The other major plus point of these appartments are the upstairs solariums, they offer spectacular views and are nice for relaxing on with a drink as the sun comes up or goes down, the only thing that could be improved is the bathrooms need refurbishing and the kitchen utensils are not up too much but that didnt bother us really as there was plenty of hot water for showers and we eat out all week and didnt bother with the kitchen. Overall very convenient apartments, you dont need anything else and are in a great position for the stunning Cala Galdana beach

“ Top Tip: Top Tip is to book the boat trip 'Libra Mare' 40/50 Eu a person for a 3 and a half hour trip around the southern coast of Menorca stopping at the amazing hidden beaches and coves, Dani the menorcan skipper is very friendly and joins in the fun, as he says why go to the carribean when you can see this, the beautiful warm clear seas and white sands are like heaven on earth. Best beaches were Trebaluger and Cala en Turqueta with Cala Galdana, there is nowhere to better this in the med we think. Also re restaurants Fuente De Trevi was best overall for quality and price, plus Alaska is good and Sa Tasca is a nice spanish family who do good tapas, snacks and drinks. Also try the fishermans restaurant on the end Es Barranc for a true Menorcan flavour. Places to avoid, Can Bini has gone downhill, way overpriced and mediocre food, Black and White Bar run by very strange Englishman but one last tip on the way home to the airport call in at the village of Saint Climent and have lunch at the Jazz casino, it's brilliant!!!!

“ Top floor requires one to be resonably fit. Bathroom a little cramped. microwave could do with mounting on wall for more work space. sofa not that compfortable
