The Sol Gavilanes is the only hotel in Cala Galdana located right on the beach. Cala Galdana is a fine sandy cove located on the south coast of Menorca in the municipality of Ferreries and is one of the island's most beautiful coves. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and pine trees that reach right down to the beach. The hotel offers exclusive views of the coastline. From its restaurants and terraces, as well as from the rooms on the front of the hotel, you can admire a magnificent view of crystal clear waters and the sand below. Hotel certified with ISO14001 and EMAS for its environmental practices.
Just 5 minutes walking distance from the shops in Cala Galdana, 15 minutos from Ciudadela, 24 km from the 18-hole golf course Son Parc, 40 minutes from Mahón and 40 km from the airport.

“ Excellent hotel. Friendly efficient staff. Very good food with a vast choice. Wonderful view from terrace, restaurant and front sea view bedrooms. View from side sea view bedrooms also good, but, more restricted. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a very relaxing holiday in a beautiful place.
“ Top Tip: Walks to beaches either side of Cala Galdana if you are feeling energetic, but you may not be able to drag yourself away from CG. Buy an airbed and umbrella as soon as you arrive. You will save a fortune on sunbed prices! We gave ours to another holiday maker when we left. Another couple gave us some beach chairs. A lot of recycling goes on there!

“ Fantastic location. View spectacular. Ask for room as high up as possible to ensure best view. Hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly and polite. We hired a car from airport for the week and found this to be a great option. Travelled all over the island and found some lovely coves and little villages.
“ Top Tip: Lovely coves you can walk to along the bridle paths/costal paths in both directions from the hotel.

We did go early October but the resort was incredibly quiet with little or no people out of an evening except to watch the hotel entertainment which was just bearable.
Hotel staff struggled to raise a smile, perhaps tired at the end of a long season but nonetheless this was still our holiday!
Do not stay on the 7th floor unless you enjoy being woken to the early breakfast guests scraping their chairs noisily across the marble floors, not nice!
Price of drinks at the hotel bar we very expensive, you will find 1 or 2 small bars in the resort with cheaper drinks but no other people, you choose!

Top Tip:
Very nice (but pricey) restaurant next door to Mississippi bar and the pizzeria next door to that restaurant is also good, nice food and friendly staff (believe me they will be noticable!)
All in all a very relaxing pretty place but not for those that enjoy alot of conversation with other holidaymakers, reasonably priced drinks and happy friendly staff! Enjoy

The hotel was nice with stunning views. Reception & lounge spacious and welcoming but colour scheme (black) a little dull. Rooms comfortable but need updating. Being a 4 star hotel, room facilities should be better e.g newer softer towels etc (the mattresses were worn and the edges badly scuffed, one of the legs on my bed was falling off!)
However, the cleaners were very efficient and polite.
Food was varied and lots to choose from, generally fresh & tidy but the restaurant staff need to be more friendly especially the male head-waiters who were damn miserable and rude with no respect for their clients.
Certain reception staff could be more sympathetic and understanding when dealing with customers queries.
Despite the above comments, we enjoyed our holiday at Cala Galdana.

The aviary full of budgies next to the pool was a joy to watch.
Three orphaned black kittens seen by the hotel need feeding!

“ The staff were very helpfull and the apartments and surrounds were kept very clean.We stayed as self catering and all the necesary equitment was available at no extra cost unlike some self catering apartments in the area.Towels and cleaning of the Apts 5 days a week. We enjoyed the two weeks holiday and would use the Mirinda Gardens again.

Aparhotel Hotasa Sea Club is located on the beach in Ciudadella de Menorca, close to Cathedral of Menorca. Another point of interest is Macarelleta Beach. “ The hotel is in administration which meant that both the downstairs restaurant and the shop were shut. We had access to a car but this would be a significant issue for those who didn't . The location is excellent and the staff are great ( we have been for a number of years and they treat as like old friends) .

Located in Cala'n Forcat, the Almirante Farragut Club Hotel is situated in an idyllic spot right on the edge of the sea, with marvellous views of the rocky bay of Ciutadela and the spectacular Menorcan coastline. The Grupotel Mar de Menorca is located 200 metres from the Cala Canutells beach and just 13 km from the city of Mahon. The terraced rooms are well equipped and have excellent views. It is a low rise building, surrounded by extensive gardens and the facilities make it a particularly good holiday choice for families. Guests can enjoy sumptuous breakfast or dine at the in house restaurant and bar serving a wide range of delicacies. Recreation facilities include a tennis court, billiards table, swimming pool, golf and gymnasium.
“ I thought the food was good, although not much variety on the desserts front. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool is huge so great for the kids, and it's shallow too. Entertainment was good, aimed more at the kids though. Overall a good family holiday and would definitely return.

This attractive and comfortable complex in Son Bou has all the facilities required for a great holiday for families and couple alike. Hotel Valentin Son Bou offers rooms located on four floors, all of which have light decoration, functional furnishings and sliding glass doors to balconies. All rooms include climate control, Internet connections (at a local charge), telephones and satellite television. There is a buffet style restaurant serving regional specialties and international cuisine in a contemporary setting. The Snack bar serves snacks and a wide range of international drinks. There is a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, with children’s section and sun terraces. There is plenty going on as there is an animation team who organise daytime and evening activities and entertainment. This is an excellent family property in a popular family resort.
“ The location isn't perfect as you need to rely on the courtesy bus to get up the hill from the beach and this can be oversubscribed! It also only runs until 7pm so it's not easy to venture out in the evening.
