Blanc Palace Hotel

“ We visted this hotel after it first opened about 13 years ago since then things have changed as you would expect over time. The staff are fantastic, the swimming pool is as cold as it ever was the room is great and despite being in a room above the bar, we didn't hear a thing from it.
If you are staying as a self catering guest then research supermarkets before you go, a large hypermarket is about half an hours walk away, but the spar shop is nearer.

“ Top Tip: Bar sa nacra... fantastic. as are the restaurants at Santandria beach. Also catch the bus to cala bosch and eat at the piccola on the waterfront.

“ The Hotel caters mainly for the German market. Most of the activities were in German. (We found a lack of notices/information for the English customers.)

It's location is a bit isolated. Other than the beach (slightly over crowded) there is not much around. Best bet is to get a bus (10 minute ride) to the nearest town.

Our accommodation was not in the complex but in a guest apartment down the road. The apartment had no air conditioning and a horrible sewage smell which kept drifting in from the bathroom (which was reported to the reception staff on more than one occasion). The apartment booked for a family of 4 was in fact two single beds pushed together and a couple of sofas.

The Hotel restaurant food was self service basic and bland (more school dinner than restaurant). Most dishes were spoilt with too much salt (i.e. fish, soup, mushrooms, lasagne...etc were all ruined). The menu was not pretty much the same most days.

The staff were friendly and the pool was a good size.

“ Top Tip: Go to the coast in the evenings the sunsets are great.

“ Stayed at the hotel for a week in July with my partner and two children aged 9 and 4.The hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned and towels changed every other day. Bus stop very near hotel to take you to Calan Bosch,Citudella etc (for a day out with family).
My daughter had tonsilitis, hotel reception staff brillant organised taxi to hospital straight away, easier process than at home. German run hotel as all reps and kids clubs and events were spoken by german speaking staff, however many of the reps spoke some english and were very pleasant.Entertainment at night was all spoken in german, making it an entertaining evening, trying to understand what was going on. Would recommend hotel, if you want a complete relax, kids pool and large pool great. Would definately hire a car next time, to see more of the island and incase of overcast days.
