Sa Caleta Apartments

“ Lovely appartments - this is the second time I have stayed there. They may not be the most modern but they are clean and tidy and well furnished.

“ Top Tip: Sa Caleta beach is lovely as is the one at Cala Santandria. Try Sa Quadra restaurant opposite the beach at Cala Santandria - great food and staff.

“ These apartments are perfect if you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay. This is not a big complex with no on-site entertainments, as we did not want this kind of thing it was perfect. Most of the other people that were there when we stayed (mid September) were Spanish and they were only really there on the weekend. The flat was basic but very clean. In the kitchen, as well as a fridge, there were 2 electric rings and a microwave but no oven. All staff at the apartments were extremely friendly and helpful. Although we did not go in it, the pool looked clean and well maintained. There were also tennis courts which again we did not use. As the apartments are located in a residential area, the tennis courts and bar/restaurant are also used by local people. There are a few restaurants nearby but there is a much better selection if you go into Ciutadella, a really lovely town, which is about a 10 minute drive. There is also a local bus service to Ciutadella. I would highly recommend the apartments if you are looking for somewhere that is quiet and you do not want lots of different activities and entertainment on site. Also do not confuse these apartments with the Sa Caleta Playa complex which is down the road, this would appear to be much larger and with the usual entertainments etc. provided on site.

“ e stayed at the Sa Caleta apartments in Cala Santandria. It was a small complex with mainly Spanish holiday makers. This suited us very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was quite basic - but fine, and V clean and the staff came round every couple of days to change the towels. The S. Pool was great and we often had this to ourselves, even in August.
The beach was five mins away,a beautiful cove and perfect for swimming. We often got to the beach early- 8.30am as by 10.30ish it was very busy.
We would definately go back to this resort.

“ Top Tip: Hire a car and go to the old capital- Ciutadella. It takes ten mins by car . Ciutedalla is a beautiful charming place with lots of good restaurants.
Also go to Sa Nacra, a restaurant overlooking th sea in Cal Santandria and 5 mins from the apartments. The food is OK and the Pizza's are good value. There is also a diving board so you can jump into the sea- if you are brave!
There is also an amazing beach called Turqueta- 20 mins by car. Go early in the peak times as it gets crowded. It is a beautiful beach and worth the journey but again you need a car.
