Hi! Cala'n Bosch Hotel

“ We have stayed at this hotel 8 times and will most probably retern. It is a good value 3 star hotel. If that is what you want then you should enjoy it. If you expect 4 or 5 star for 3 star money you will not. The standard of the food this year is not as good as in previous years but you can still find somthing to eat so long as you are prepared to put up with a lack of choice of potatoes. This year over a 7 day period it was chips every day with a choice of boiled on one day. Very limited choice if you are vegetarian and a good selection of deserts. Also there is not as much attention as in previous years to keeping the food hot and on a number of occasions I had to reheat my food.
They used to have theme nights Mexican one night and Italian another . This year it has been stopped I expect due to cutbacks.
On the posative side the staff are all fantastic and can not do enough for you. Drinks are a good quality and while we were there we did not have any long ques for drinks.
They have a new animation team this year and they seem to be shaping up well still learning but much better than last year. We had two professional shows while we were there. The acrobatics were really good but thr tribute singer was rather poor and seemed flat and out of tune.
The hotel is still kept spotless no cutbacks on cleaning and fresh towles every day.
We tend to use the hotel as a base and hire a car to get around in the day. If you can do this there are some great spots to visit within half and hour of the hotel.
There was a lot of seaweed on the beach but as we left they had started to clean up the beach so I imagine later on like most things in Menorca it will be clean and pristine.
Summing up we feel this hotel is great for 7 to 10 days out of season but possibly very crowded high season.

“ Top Tip: Hire a car and get out and about. Plenty to see within half an hours drive of the hotel.

“ This was our seventh time at this hotel and the second time this year.
Bad points first:
This season they put a new entertainment team in and in our oppinion they must be the worst ,least professional anywhere in Europe. Really no idea and pathetic.They may possibly have a place in a club 18-30 but not a family hotel. Most people just ignore them but if you want a hotel with a good entertainmant programme I advise you to go elsewhare.
Late season there is a problem some days with flies and wasps in the restaurant and bar areas. This could be solved if they fitted insecticuters around the area.
The decor is dated 70s but for what you pay good.
Good points:
Everything else. Really, for a 3 star hotel you will have to look a long time for anything that matches this one. The staff are fantastic,friendly and helpful. The food is varied and you can allways find somthing no matter how fussy you are and the hotel is spotless. The hotel is at the side of a sandy safe cove and the pool areas are safe and clean with no shortage of sunbeds.
I can't comment on peak season but early and late season we have allways found that the majority of people at this hotel are really pleasant and friendly.
God willing and health allowing we will be back 2012 June and October. We love Menorca and especially this hotel.

“ Top Tip: Bus stop outside the hotel every 30 min to Citudella.
If you can, prebook a carhire from the airport. There are some fantastic places on this island but without a car you will never see them. The main roads are really safe and I have never had a problem driving on this island but do not be tempted to drink and drive they are very strick about this.

“ Top Tip: toms bar is always good for a nice relaxing pint. lots of nice restaurants around the marina
