The hotel is in administration which meant that both the downstairs restaurant and the shop were shut. We had access to a car but this would be a significant issue for those who didn't .
The location is excellent and the staff are great ( we have been for a number of years and they treat as like old friends) . It still caters for self-catering clients which is what we want ( lots of hotels are now all inclusive) and the air-conditioning is an essential ( lots of hotels don't have this)
We were right by the stage so the continuous music loop became a bit wearing. Some days they had long periods of quiet which was much better. Since First Choice have pulled out there are fewer English families which makes it more cosmopolitan clientele but I miss the bingo and the quizzes, and the contact with other English kids. The reps are a miss too for younger kids.

Top Tip: The AquaPark is still a firm favourite

the apartment was disappointing. It was tatty. we had a great big crack across the glass front door that was held together with glue. The paint was peeling off inside and flaked on the floor or when you brushed against it. I was expecting a much higher standard for a 4 star hotel. Maid service isn't as frequent as other places i've stayed in, and it didn't take long for the bathroon to start to smell (no window in bathroom either). The actual complex was fine, although the cars park really close to the swimming pools at times and it would be nice if they had a car park a little away from the pool.
However, this was the first time I had been abroad during the school hols with children and I was worried it woud be so busy and rowdy we wouldn't get space by the pool. It was such a relaxed place that even though it was at capacity, there was plenty of space and no one put towels down at a ridiculous hour - we always got 4 sun loungers together at any time of the day.
So, to sum up; my main fear of it being jam packed was allayed, but it was rather grotty.

Top Tip: The water park nearby was great. You can buy a 2 or 3 day ticket which works out cheaper, this wasn't well advertised so ask - we bought 2 separate full day tickets which was more epxensive. I think it was great for children up to age 12, after that the rides are probably not scary enough.

This was a very clean and friendly hotel. We were all inclusive and the food was just as you would expect, I felt it catered for most needs and was always fresh and hot. The complex is very child friendly and close to all things you need. The entertainment is slightly on the poor side but they did try and we watched or participated every night. I would stay again.
