Roc Oasis Park Hotel

“ Really enjoyed our stay at Roc Oasis, we travelled as a couple and stayed self-catering. The reception was bright and airy and the staff very polite and helpful. The apartments are separated into 9blocks. Our room was 309 and couldn't have asked for any better. Spacious, clean, a bath that you could actually bathe in! Kettle, toaster, microwave, hob and fridge with a freezer compartment all supplied. Aswell as every pot, pan, cutlery, and crockery that you could ever need for self-catering. We had a terrace which provided us with a side sea view. And the sun would stay with us from 1 in the afternoon till sunset. Perfect. We hired a safe which is 3euros a day plus 5euro deposit and if you want the use of the T.V it cost 5euros for the remote. We stayed for 5nights and the actual hotel only cost £96! A bargain in our minds...one of the best apartments i have stayed in.

“ Top Tip: The beach is only about 50yards or so from the bottom of the hotel grounds,you have to walk down steps but they arent steep. To get to the main strip of the resort you turn right outside the hotel then right again and your there...its that close. Bus stop nearby to take you into town, (just incase, like me you needed a TABAC) only cost 1.55euros where ever you go. The shopping bar was a good place for us to have a drink a snack and watch the footy! Chinese do an all you can eat buffet for 9.95euros, which was a good deal. Venture a bit further than the main square and you find some good little bars and restuarants, and very good prices too. Most of the bars have entertainment free or play areas for kids, which alot of kids seemed very happy about.

“ This complex is a 3*,you can choose between self catering /half board or all inclusive.We were self cateringIt is arranged as a 2 storey complex in blocks of about 10.The floors are terracotta tiles so there is some noise from other people and the shutters and windows are a bit noisy to open.That said-all in all it is a good value for money place.Close to supermarkets,bars and restaurants.There is no real beach but lots of shallow coves.The self catering kitchenette is basic but adequately stocked.Microwave,kettle and toaster and 2 ring electric hob.We didn't see the entertainment but there was something on most nights.Reception staff are helpful and garden areas well kept.The pools looked clean enough and we noticed a hoist to help disabled people in amd out of the pool.Some of the walkways to the rooms were not cleaned but the apartments were cleaned 3 times a week with linen and towells changed too.There is a haidryer in the bedroom,enough space in the wardrobe but little in the way of drawers.
The Anchora restaurant is lovely on a nice evening and food varied.Occasionaly you get a card to give you a free bottle of wine on your next visit.Es Replec was our favourite,very good quality food and friendly service-they remembered us from our last holiday as soon as we went in.

“ Two star so didnt expect much which was just as well as the place is totally run down and grubby.
Room was in dire need of updating and decorating. Bath disgusting, complained but told it was clean just stained. Stained is an understatement, it was horrid and we had to clean it ourselves.
Very noisy at night, walls thin and all we heard was shutters and windows banging and the row from the very low budget entertainement.
All sunbeds taken by 5am - yes 5am !! Not a single person in sight but EVERY sunbed had towels on them.
A large group of very unruly people there for our first week and then totally overtook the pool acting like total idiots (adults included) which meant that no one else could enjoy the pool and small children had to be kept out as it was so dangerous for them.
No life guard and no one "policing" the pool area so the group just ran riot.
The food was the same every day, luke warm and bland.
Went to this Hotel 6 years ago before it was AI and it was really nice but the standard has dropped enormously.
Staff were pleasant however.
If you want a low budget holiday and are not fussy then this would be ok but it certainly wont be a place that we will return to.

“ Top Tip: Calan Forcat however is a lovely place and well worth visiting and "Jimmy Hills" still provides wonderful entertainment in the evenings.
