Large apartment with lovely breakfast included. Only problem was the lack of cleaning and changing of towels/bedding. We were there 9 days and the room was cleaned twice on the 3rd and 7th days. Our friends we travelled with only had their room cleaned and new towels once on the 3rd day. Apart from this the apartments were fine ideally situated for the few bars/shops and restaurants on resort. Very quite area, near beach but high up so have to go down 181 steps, very steep but do have transport from apartments if required.

Top Tip: Get the hotel transport to and from beach. Good food at lorengos very reasonable does set menu for 14.50 euro including drink.

If you have kids, the pools are great, the water slides were particually welcome and good fun!!.

Hotelrooms are a little basic but they are large and very good value for money, buffet breakfast is good ( the usual selection, cereals bacon and eggs sausages, fresh fruit and juices et), but the eating area can get a little busy and crowded at times. The opening time is however a little late at 9.00 am.

Top Tip: Best resturant for good value food is Lorengas? next to Pitos, excellent choice of three course meals with drinks inc. wine, bread and pate etc for under 15 euros. (Excellent Paella!!)

To get away from the resort follow the Cami de cavells footpath which leads to Son Bou, which is 8Km away , but you do not have to walk far at all to experiance peace and serenity!!.

The apartment was not one of the better ones we have stayed at in Menorca. There was no TV (although if that is your main priority you should stay at home!). Also no air conditioning or fan. We managed a decent flow of air by having the window open with the shutter closed but I would suspect this would have been a more serious issue if the weather had been hotter. The bedrooms could have done with a lick or two of paint. The light in one bedroon wasn't working on arrival and took a couple of visits to reception to get it fixed. The apartment was cleaned twice during our weeks stay which was adequate although the toilet paper could have been in more plentiful supply! On the plus side the bathroom was well decorated and the shower and hot water worked well. The kitchen was also fairly well supplied although we didn't use it much as we ate out every night. Breakfast was provided in the open air bar area of the main hotel, the content was pretty good although the actual movement about the buffet area could be a bit chaotic at times. The swimming pool area in the main hotel had the usual sunbed issues (i.e. 10% occupied with people, 90% occupied with towels during late morning / early afternoon periods). However at the end of the day it was a pleasant place to finish off. The pool was pleasant and not too crowded and the water slide was a great attraction for the children. Our part of the complex had its own swimming pool too which was generally quieter. Overall I would say this is a decent enough complex and there is nothing that should seriously ruin your holiday but for a place this size I think one or two improvements could be made.

Top Tip: Lots of bars and restaurants in the resort. We ate at Lorengo's (14.5 Euro for set meal with drinks / wine) also at Sa Paissa (good main courses for round about 8 Euro). Across the road from hotel is a sports bar which has pool tables plus bouncy castle and tramploines. Very popular with pre teenage kids! Bar prices typically 2-3 Euro for pint of beer. 8 for litre of sangria. Soft drinks about 1.5 -2 Euro.
2 supermarkets plus cash machine just opposite hotel.
Next door Sa Paissa hotel has good evening entertainment with several decent tribute bands, however the viewing area can be extremely congested. This hotel also arranges trips to the Somni horse show for 32 Euro, 22 for children. A decent night out if you are looking for something a bit different.
You can also book trips at the Spar supermarket. There are 2 different island tours at 26 Euro each, plus trips to fiestas.
There is a decent bus service to Mahon (1.6 Euro single) which is only 20 mnutes away. It is well worth a visit to the capital city and a harbour cruise is a must (2 different firms provide regular trips which also include underwater viewing. 11 Euro adult and 5 for under 12s).
The beach at Cala 'n Porter in my opinion rivals Cala Galdana as the best on the island for families. The water is very shallow for a long way out and is very clear. Pedalos are available for 15 Euros per hour.

Check-in date:

The apartment was very dark and dingy. The kitchen was falling to bits. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It was sparsely furnished. Overall it looked very scruffy and dated. The breakfast was inedible as everything was cold and covered in congealed fat. However the surrounding gardens and pool area was very pleasant.

Top Tip: There are a number of nice restaurants within short walking distance.
