I got the impression staying at this Hotel ? (Hostel) that you were an inconvenience to the staff.
Breakfast was what ever they just happened to have in the snack display cabinet.
Lunch or dinner which ever you chose to have was always a SURPRISE !!! sometimes Ok, sometimes culinary unrecognisable.
Although I had booked halfboard, when I arrived at 17:00hrs on the Sunday, I was told "we do not cook on a Sunday evening" I therefore had to try and find a suitable restaurant .

Top Tip:
Good all round lunchtime snack or full meal at rear of the Market Hall
(5 mins away) over looking the harbour, very nice.

We were only staying for one night before travelling on to another part of the island. Price was excellent, the room was slightly cramped but the bed was comfortable and both the room and the attached bathroom/shower were well equipped and clean.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
“ Top Tip: A walk along the harbour at night is highly recommended.

“ This hotel is basic, as is reflected in the price you pay. It is extremely good value for money as it is spotlessly clean and very near to the centre of Mahon. Very friendly.

This is a small complex of 34 apartments for 2/4 persons near the harbour of Mahón. All the apartments have 1 double bedroom and a lounge with a double sofa bed. Other amenities include a TV, telephone, air conditioning, bathroom, kitchenette and terrace. Outside the apartments there is a Garden with swimming-pool, bar, restaurant. The apartments are ideally situated just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Mahón.

The RTM Capri is located right in the heart of Mahon, just minutes walk from the many bars, shops and restaurants and in a perfect spot for exploring the culture and history of the island. The hotel features 75 rooms all with balconies, elegantly decorated and equipped with air conditioning, minibar, television and safe (at a charge). The hotel has a fitness area on the terrace, with spectacular views across the city and the port. Facilities include a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, steam bath, gym and multi-jet showers.
“ We were disappointed that the swimming pool was being refurbished and we did not know this until on arrival so there was no outside space to relax. Overall the hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The Hotel Port Mahon is ideally located in the most stylish residential area of Mahon with beautiful views of the harbour. This colonial style hotel has 73 air conditioned bedrooms all well decorated and equipped with modern amenities including television, telephone and minibar. The hotel also has a restaurant, a piano bar, café, outdoor swimming pool and splendid sun terrace on-site.
“ We stayed for one night on 21st October 2011 at the end of a two week holiday. We had come straight from a villa and were returning the next day. We found everything neat, clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet being end of season, but still all services were running.

The Barcelo Hamilton is situated in a beautiful and peaceful area in the port of Mahon, capital city of the island of Menorca. This is the ideal hotel for business trips to Menorca as well as for anyone on vacation t this enchanting island where visitors can discover its magnificent landscape. The hotel includes many features and facilities, including a buffet/a la carte restaurant. The hotel is only 800 m from Cala Padera beach, 3 km from the city centre of Mahon and 7 km from the Menorca airport.
“ had a good holiday, found this hotel suitable for us (65plus) as we were looking for a quiet break, food excellent something for everyone, rooms a little too modern but well looked after, lacking a fridge for your water if nothing else, air conditioning not working but this has been a problem since the upgrade of some rooms, they hope to get this fixed when they complete the upgrade.
