“ just returned from barcelo pueblo had a good time ,i read the reviews before i went and almost everyone was right ,one the beds are hard just started to get used to them when it was time for home, also they said the appartment blocks were opposite and you could look into there bedrooms that was right ,the food was very nice lovely restaurant very clean and modern hotel ,the rooms are only small but you only sleep in there they are only minor things ,dont rely on the resort for entertainment it is only small no bars or night life but thats menorca very quiet everywhere you go .the hotel has entertainment at night it was low key while we were there but it was october i was told it was good earlier on .i would definately go back to this hotel and resort.

I was disappointed with the layout of the hotel. The rooms are arranged in blocks and unless you were one of the very fortunate few the view from the window was of another block. Rooms were functional and clean and serviced well each day.
The menu was reasonable although to be sure of getting it hot you had to wait till new batches were served as the heaters on the serveries were poor.
Overall I did not think the hotel warrants it's four star status and I have been to 3 star hotels on Menorca which are better

The Barcelo Hamilton is situated in a beautiful and peaceful area in the port of Mahon, capital city of the island of Menorca. This is the ideal hotel for business trips to Menorca as well as for anyone on vacation t this enchanting island where visitors can discover its magnificent landscape. The hotel includes many features and facilities, including a buffet/a la carte restaurant. The hotel is only 800 m from Cala Padera beach, 3 km from the city centre of Mahon and 7 km from the Menorca airport.
“ had a good holiday, found this hotel suitable for us (65plus) as we were looking for a quiet break, food excellent something for everyone, rooms a little too modern but well looked after, lacking a fridge for your water if nothing else, air conditioning not working but this has been a problem since the upgrade of some rooms, they hope to get this fixed when they complete the upgrade.

Built in 2002 and comprising a total of 120 suites spread over 3 floors, there is a foyer with 24-hour reception desk, 5 lifts, a bar, a TV room, an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area, a bike hire service and a laundry service. “ The hotel was fab, appartment is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in - cleaned and towels changed every day. I have read previous reviews about ants but must say that we did not see 1 during our 10 night stay.

“ excellent appartments, higher quality furnishings than usual and spacious. very close to the marina but in a quieter location than harbour side. staff very helpfull. Menorca is lovely but you will need to hire a car if you want to see the island without restriction on where you can get to by bus.
