Hamilton Court Hotel

“ Hotel was great and was upgraded to an apartment with a roof top garden for free, although it was too windy to use in mid April. Reception were great at helping us to find things to do around the Island and phoning for us to check places were open - this was much required as nothing is open in April. You really need a car for this Hotel, especially in low season before May:
Hotel next door which had closest indoor swimming pool was closed so nearest was Mahon or Citudella.
Museums and Cathedrals tended to be only open in mornings, if at all, and museums not open on Mondays
Soft Play for kids in Mahon and Citudella were not open until 4pm
No buses from Santo Tomas and few buses from nearest town Es Migjorn Gran, even fewer on Saturday and none on Sunday

“ Top Tip: Walk from Santo Tomas to Son Bou was nice and there is a cave on this route about 50 metres from Santo Tomas which the kids liked. This walk is for horses too and takes you on a long route around marshes so when get to beach after about a mile, it is much shorter (by 1 - 2 miles) to go across beach rather than follow trail signs which head inland.
Super Market at Es Migjorn Gran has reasonably priced goods.
Swimming pool at Citudella is good and has small pool with warm water for kids, but have to wear swimming hats which they lent us for free.

“ A basic hotel which was clean and well managed. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. We went out of season so all other hotels and bars in the neighbourhood were closed. Beach is next to the hotel, beautiful sandy beach. car needed to get around, unless you walk or cycle. Walkers and cyclists have abundant opportunities around the island. hotel made a great base. Loved it.

“ We were made very welcome and any requests were met with a no problem can do attitude. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We booked a 2 bed appartment but when we arrived we had a 3 bed. They had noticed that we had an infant with us and with space available had upgraded us without request. Still on the ground floor as asked for.

The ground floor position was perfect for a toddler with the pool nearby and the hotel location is ideal with just a short walk across the promenade footpath and across the dunes on a boardwalk to the beach.

“ Top Tip: Geraldine's restaurant in the parade of shops to the west of the hotel does great Tapas.
