We were made very welcome and any requests were met with a no problem can do attitude. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We booked a 2 bed appartment but when we arrived we had a 3 bed. They had noticed that we had an infant with us and with space available had upgraded us without request. Still on the ground floor as asked for.
The ground floor position was perfect for a toddler with the pool nearby and the hotel location is ideal with just a short walk across the promenade footpath and across the dunes on a boardwalk to the beach.
“ Top Tip: Geraldine's restaurant in the parade of shops to the west of the hotel does great Tapas.

Everything was fine..checking in and out smooth as silk
Pool and area was well maintained as was the rooms.
Didn't use the restaurant, but it was always busy in the evevings.
Only down point was I was told the TV reception was poor, so I didn't
have a set so evenings a bit quiet.

The Hotel Sa Barrera is situated in the center of Cala en Porter, a wealthy Alaior modern development on a cliff, 8 km from the airport of Menorca. At 200 meters from the beach, the Hotel Sa Barrera is very close to bars, restaurants, shops and night lovers, the famous nightclub Cova d'en Xoroi-dwelling prehistoric-built inside a natural cave-only in Europe, which opens onto the cliff which has spectacular views, moreover, with caption included. Tranquillity, comfort and charm Cala en Porter is at the bottom of a ravine, and has a medium wide beach and fine white sand, surrounded by two tall cliffs of the bay by a well sheltered from the wind. On one side flows the stream of Cala en Porter comes from Alaior and...
“ Travel Republic have excelled themselves here and have landed a real gem of a hotel.. Roberto the Italian owner really has got it right. From the minute you walk in, the service is fantastic.. everyone is friendly (without being overly), and nothing is too much trouble.

Siesta Mar apartments complex is situated on the edge of Cala n Porter, just 10 minutes from the beach. The unit is ideal for families due to the special facilities for children available. The apartments were recently refurbished and all of them are fully equipped and very tastefully decorated. The airport is just 20 minutes away and all entertainment and dining facilities are very close to the unit.
“ Large apartment with lovely breakfast included. Only problem was the lack of cleaning and changing of towels/bedding. We were there 9 days and the room was cleaned twice on the 3rd and 7th days. Our friends we travelled with only had their room cleaned and new towels once on the 3rd day.

Blanc Palace is a 4* hotel located in the beautiful area of Menorca â Spain, directly on the beach and 100m from the city center. The hotel offers a variety of amenities such as swimming pools, bars, restaurant with outside facilities, gym, sauna and children facilities. Guests can relax in the spacious, beautifully decorated rooms of the hotel which are fully equipped and have magnificent view. Blanc Palace is the ideal place for relaxing and pleasant vacations.
“ The Hotel caters mainly for the German market. Most of the activities were in German. (We found a lack of notices/information for the English customers.) It's location is a bit isolated. Other than the beach (slightly over crowded) there is not much around.

This hotel was completely renovated in 2002 and comprises a total of 100 apartments and 12 studios set over two floors. Facilities on offer include a spacious foyer, a hotel safe, a currency exchange counter, a public Internet terminal, and a 24-hour reception. The hotel also features a cafe, a small supermarket, a range of shops, a cosy bar with an outdoor terrace, a nightclub, an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant with separate non-smoking area, and an e la carte Thai restaurant. Additionally, room and laundry services as well as medical assistance are offered to guests. The complex also features a bicycle storage room and a play area where younger guests may let off steam.
“ The staff were friendly and polite. The room was basic and we arrived late, as we entered we were hit with a terrible smell from the drains. There was only one small hand towel each as they had forgotten to leave bath towels.

The Grupotel Mar de Menorca is located 200 metres from the Cala Canutells beach and just 13 km from the city of Mahon. The terraced rooms are well equipped and have excellent views. It is a low rise building, surrounded by extensive gardens and the facilities make it a particularly good holiday choice for families. Guests can enjoy sumptuous breakfast or dine at the in house restaurant and bar serving a wide range of delicacies. Recreation facilities include a tennis court, billiards table, swimming pool, golf and gymnasium.
“ I thought the food was good, although not much variety on the desserts front. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool is huge so great for the kids, and it's shallow too. Entertainment was good, aimed more at the kids though. Overall a good family holiday and would definitely return.
