“ The check in at the Hotel was faultless. I passed over the accommodation voucher and was immediately given the key and I was surprised not to have been asked to complete the usual registration form!

The Hotel was good and very much family orientated. I was wary having read reports that it was only fair rated but it most be realised that it is a very large hotel serving the mass tourist trade and as such is was more than adequate. The room was small which was not a problem for me as a single traveller but for two or more, space would have been at a premium. The room was always maintained by the Hotel staff in a spotless manner.

The Restaurant staff were always friendly and the busy restaurant was immaculately maintained. Covers were changed immediately one guest left and before the next arrived and you were always shown to a table. The food was available from two large buffets and was continually being refreshed. The food was of an international variety and very much applicable to the largely British clientale.

It is of the greatest importance that the Hotel staff like children and this became very obvious from the very friendly manner in which they approached them.

My only suggestion is that because of the large number of children at the Hotel, I would suggest that a hand cleaning machine should be available at the Restaurant entrance so that hands can be cleansed before handling food. This would be similar to the system operated on cruise ships. There have been comments about infections at the Hotel and this could be a simple way to reduce them.

“ Top Tip: I would recommend car hire so that you can travel to some of the more remote areas and the unspoilt beaches in Cap de Favaritx in the Parc Natural de S'Albufera des Grau

“ Very nice hotel, situated in a very quiet area close to a fantastic beach which is quite stunning. All staff at hotel were extremely friendly and could not do enough for you. Not the most comfortable of beds, but would not let this detract from a lovely place to stay. Very much family orientated.

“ Top Tip: If you are going to use the beach, go down around 150 yards and the sea becomes clear of the few rocks.

“ The staff were helpfull and the hotel kept spotless including our room.
We thought the food was varied and of good quality.
The lovely beach at Santo Tomas is just a 30 second stroll from the hotel garden.
We have been to the Victoria Playa Hotel before so we knew that it was a family hotel with alot of children to be expected, this proved to be the case.
If you are expecting a quiet pool side holiday you will be disappointed. The hotel is also not a place to go if you are young single people looking for a blast.
The beach is fantastic with the far end being quieter. there are a few shops near by along with a few restaurants.

“ Top Tip: A visit to Mahon is a must but make it on a market day, while there take a harbour trip in a glass bottom boat it lasts for 1 hour and costs 11 euros.
Citudella is worth a visit, have a wander down to the quaint harbour and sit in one of the restaurants for a drink and a snack.
Buses run from the carpark outside the hotel to both these locations.
If you like a stroll the walk to Son Bou along the coast is worth while, it takes around an hour to get there if you take it easy, remember to take water with you.
The walk does pass through a nudist area but this should not put you off.
