Vistamar Hotel

“ A basic self catering facility that clearly lives in the shadow of its more upmarket apartments. A few hiccups in the first few days e.g. lights in apartment not working; key not opening apartment door; hot water disappearing until an unlabelled switch in bathroom shown to be switched off - all remedied quickly.
The apartment was functional if a little 'down at heel'. Location could not have been better and it was a wonderful place to just sit and enjoy the views. The overlooking hotel was too dominant on my side of the building and its nightly entertainment intrusive. Despite clearly published restrictions on reserving sun loungers these were ignored and the same group of residents remained securely in charge of the best locations every day. When they put their towels on them I am not sure but I am an earlier riser and the towels were always there even before dawn! The welcome was sincere and warm although the limited opening hours of the reception meant a problem with my wifi after hours required me to go down for help - even there at 8.00 p.m. reception was closed but a duty manager soon came and was most helpful. All in all the location and the weather made this a good holiday and as long as your needs are minimal [cost of food in resort is very high] you should enjoy the experience.

“ Staff, restaurant and food were all excellent. One small problem was the reception was only manned from 9am till 1pm although this did not cause us a problem this time I think it could be a problem sometimes.

“ Top Tip: Some of the best food was at the Hotel. The quietest beach was just below the Hotel less than 5min walk. Sea and beach good for kids of all ages and there were several there.

“ very clean apartments, fantastic sea view, fans on ceiling , could do with air conditioning ,very quiet resort but lovely if you want a lazy week , entertainment all hotel based ,only a couple of bars but you can use other hotels facilities.

“ Top Tip: beach on the doorstep a minute from apartments.lovely beach but sun loungers a rip off beware 17 euros a day for 2 sunloungers and a umbrella, buy your own mats.

“ We booked for the Vistamar Hotel. On arrival we were told that we had been moved to the Hamilton Court, which was down the road. As we were only staying for 1 night this was not a problem. Nice large apartment. Clean and modern facilities. Had we being staying for longer I am not sure that we would have been so happy. Under the circumstances it was not a problem.
