The Sol Milanos Pingüinos is the only hotel located right on Son Bou beach, the longest beach in Menorca, some 2.5 km. in length. It is the ideal place for young families as the beach slopes gently into the sea. Son Bou is an Area of Natural Interest (ANEI) with the largest wetland on the island (located in the interior) after Albufera des Grau and it has an important area of dunes, as well as rich flora and fauna.
It is located 7 km from Alayor, 20 km from Mahón and 20 km from the airport. The nearest bus stop is just 30 metres from the hotel and it is a short distance from the shops and boutiques.
The hotel provides a spacious activities area measuring 2,000 m2, right next to the beach, where the children can play safely outdoors while their parents relax.
The hotel has been awarded ISO14001 certification for its environmental management.

“ Arrived at hotel very late at night due to delay at airport. Hotel prepared sandwiches and a salad for us, although our lateness was nothing to do with them. We had even better rooms than we had booked, having got sea views. and there were only 40 guests staying at the hotel. The service was brilliant by all staff we met. One day the toilet wouldn't work properly but within minutes of it being reported it was fixed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and this time of year was ideal. The weather was glorious which always helps. The animation team did a show of Grease the one night, it was really good.

Top Tip:
There was a company just across the road who offered an around the island trip for 26 euros, and although we didn't go ourselves, we had reports that the day was excellant. They started out at 8.30am and got back to the hotel at 18.45pm.
There is an English bar called the Kit cat bar which was very friendly, and had live sky sport.

Excellent location, good food, nice pool area. Plenty to keep small children happy. Rooms are a little tired; especially the bathroom.
Due to its proximity to the beach I think they need to employ a 'towel collector' to prevent many of the residents reserving prime location sun-beds around the pool (not the largest area), then disappearing down to the beach for many hours!!!
“ Top Tip: The beach is stunning with lots of swimming potential, with stretches virtually uninhabited within a shortish walk from the hotel.

“ thee room was spotless and cleaned every day. The hotel is right on the beach which has got to be one of the best beaches in the world, with beautiful clear water on calm days.

Highly efficient with the genuinely caring staff really caring. Spotlessly clean, well maintained gardens and lifts.
It is a very large hotel and feeding time is a bit of a scramble with a jumbo sized buffet - you could easily get run over by adults or children! My choice of breakfast only was correct and go in as near to closing time as possible to beat the stampede.
They bend over backwards to keep adults and especially children entertained (if you wish) with numerous, well organized activities.
