Eurostars Diana Palace Hotel

“ Nice room with a great shower. Very clean.Very good variety for breakfast, hot and cold with a 'healthy choice' too. Sadly no tea or coffee making facilities in our room. We arrived on a Sunday, there was no where to get a drink and no food available at any time after our arrival until the following mornings breakfast!!!! Our choice was to go outside for a coffee and an evening meal. We found a small bar just down the road, a bit seedy but very good food indeed and cheap. On our return we found the hotel bar had been opened, still no hot drinks though. This was a blot on our stay which was not made clear at the time of booking. What was also not made clear was the car parking facilities. There was an additional cost of 7Euros to park overnight in the hotel underground car park. This was accessed by a 'car lift' from a very narrow one way side road the doors being operated by the hotel receptionist. It was very difficult to get enough space to swing the car, a Piccaso, into the narrow lift and because another car came up behind us we could not fully manouvre our car properly and now have a number of scratches on the left front wing from entering the car lift. The hotel is situated in a very narrow side road above an underpass, the road is open to all traffic making it impossible if a member of the public wants to use the road, as happened in our case.This should most certainly been made clear on the hotel information. Our car is not large and we had the problems as stated above a larger car would have had enormous problems. On exiting the car lift, my wife had to stand in the road to make sure I could in fact exit safely, there were no mirrors to assist drivers. Quite honestly I am surprised there have not been some nasty accidents. I look forward to your comments on this as I feel it is a very important issue.

“ Very attractive inside and out. A bit difficult to find - you didn't give the address very clearly - but Reception was very good with phone directions and the welcome when we arrived. [particularly Maribell]. Outside, parking looked difficult so asked for parking - this was amazing, it was underground and only accessible from the narrow road and across a busy pavement. There are sliding metal doors which are opened by Reception onto a lift, which is a bit slow arriving. After parking, you have to get the lift again up to the road and manoevre your luggage into the hotel. It was obviously very secure, which we welcomed, but cost £7. Buffet breakfast very varied, but not good.
