During our visit the hotel was full of groups of young footballers from all over Spain and further afield. It appears that there was a youth football tournament. They were, as you would expect for young males away from home, rowdy and noisy. Add to this the fact that Spain won both the semi-final and the final of Euro 2008 during our visit and you get a flavour of the atmosphere! The staff were stretched to cope with the demands of this and it would be unfair to rate their performance based on this visit.
The hotel is comfortable but is overdue for an upgrade. Furnishings and decor are dated. The room had kitchenette facilities which were locked. We requested access so that we could use the fridge and were charged an additional 9 Euros per day for this facility.
“ Top Tip: The countryside surrounding Jaca is stunning and this is an excellent location for touring the western Pyrennes. The old town of Jaca is a great place to spend a few hours of an evening. Eating out is inexpensive and some of the restaurants are of excellent quality. Beware of places catering to pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago - the food is overpriced and sub standard - frozen chips for example. Visitors from the US should note that "hamburgers" are literally ham burgers, not beef.
