Just returned from a week here. Two adults, a teen and a baby. Fantastic complex and cannot wait to return again.
We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the pool side. We had a sea view from the balcony. Air con/heating in rooms too. Quite a few Uk channels on free tv.Can plug scart plug into TV so can take portable DVD player if you want.
The self catering facities are satisfactory. No oven or washer but adequate for my cooking. We hired a kettle for the week and also a cot. It might be cheaper for you to take your own travel cot as extra on your flight so worth checking.
The cleaners do not come around every day but there is a brush and mop if needed. We also emptied our own bins as we accrued alot of rubbish! None of this bothered me and I would not say this was a negative thing. The rooms get very dusty from the sand to be forewarned.
The receptionists were very helpful. We actually only saw them on arrival as we did not need to go for help advice after that. We were told that we would have to leave 120e deposit but we were not asked for this. Also, it said on info on site that check in is 17.00hrs but we were checked in by 11.30am. Possibly because we were there out of season.
This part of Spain is quite expensive to eat out. I am a frequent traveller to the Canaries where its alot cheaper to eat out so comparing to cheaper Canary Island prices. A pint of beer varies from 1e to 2.50e depending on where you stay or eat etc. Salou itself is alot cheaper than Cambrils but Cambrils far nicer! Pools quite cool, particulary the children ones. There are slides and play things for the children.
“ Top Tip: We walked everywhere! There are buses right outside though. The promenade is flat and you can walk all the way from Salou to Cambrils. My husband hired a bike too and that was cheap. There is a Michelangelo supermarket on site but is not cheap. We actually got a taxi from the complex to Lidl in Cambrils. Cost 25e for a return trip but we got everything needed for a self catering holiday. Water, beer, pop, cereal, milk, bread, fruit, cheese, sandwich meat and veg, chicken, rice ,pasta, sweets, biscuits, ice creams etc.We spent 100e for a familys shopping there. We had a full cooked breakfast and 3 main meals from that lot. It was hard work carring 50 litres of water etc from the taxi to the room ( there are lifts though let me point out!) but saved alot of money. For example, can of pop in supermarket at complex 55c, 25c at Lidl. 5 litres of water 1e, Lidl 45c. Ice creams for a pack of 8 at lidl 2e. nearly 2e each at supermarket. The pub across the road "Mucky Ducks" do childrens meals for 4.40e. Trust me these are big enough for an adult!

We were very pleased when we arrived excellent location, beach to one side and pool to the other. Great view of the sea. Supermarket directly acorss the road and 2 friendly bar/restaurants beneath. Salou and Cambrills just a short bus ride away. Buses are very easy and regular.
Apartment is basic but it has everything you need to self cater - excellent value for money.
“
Top Tip:
definietly use the bus cheap and cheerful no need for taxis. You must walk the beach strip to salou a 20 min walk but lovely.
Cambrillsis worht a visit real quaint little town with lots of little shops.

Apartment was clean, spacious with fabulous view of the beach and ocean. We were slightly anxious having read mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. Yes you have to make your own bed on arrival but for us this was no hardship. A bag of freshly laundered towels, sheets and tea towels was left in the bedroom, plenty enough for the week we were here. In fact we didn't use all the sheets supplied, there seemed to be enough for several beds. Plenty of utensils and crockery including a stove top Espresso pot, lemon squeezer, cork screw and scissors. Yes you have to pay to hire a kettle but we did what we usually do and boiled the water we needed for hot drinks in a small pan. We were really pleased with the apartment and having requested a beach view it was just perfect for us.
There's a supermarket just opposite the apartment block we stayed in. Plenty of places to eat catering for all tastes.
Walk into Cambrils took us about 3/4 to 1 hour but it's a pleasant stroll along the promenade to the right if you come out of the apartment block beach side. We only went in once at the beginning of our stay and decided just to relax on the beach for the rest of the week.
There is a regular bus into Cambrils or you can hire cycles and cycle along the cycle path adjacent to promenade.
For a late summer break we felt excellent value for money. Would we return in a hurry? Most definately. We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing time exactly what we wanted.

Top Tip:
Porto Bello Italian restaurant lovely food and wine.
Popeyes lovely food, great for morning cafe con leche and an afternoon Estrella.
The first Chiringuito you come to if you walk out of the apartment block on beach side turn right. Great atmosphere in the evening.

“ 2 bed appartment was large enough 4 ,3 adults and 2 children age 7 and 13..only down side was the bathroom,it would of been better if it had walk in shower instead of in the bathtub as this was small and pointless, apart from that it was big enough,we stayed in block 3 which overlooked the pool.

“ The apartment is very basic, with only a small 2-ring stove and microwave for cooking, and limited cooking utensils. No kettle is provided. That said, the kitchen is perfectly functional and sufficient for breakfast, lunch and simple dinners. Apartment staff are very helpful and friendly, with the exception of the cleaning and maintenance staff who are brusque and rude. The apartments are very close to the beach and restaurants, with the pool being located just across the road. Local restaurants are unsophisticated, offering mainly English fare, however food is decent and reasonably priced. Great resort for children aged 10-15 as is very close to Port Aventura theme and water parks, Barcelona (1h 45m), beaches and pool. No need to hire a car as local buses provide a good service to most destinations.
“ Top Tip: Use the local buses where possible. Purchase the 3-day Porta Ventura theme and water park tickets in the UK before you leave. Don't buy fruit in the supermarket - it is low quality and out-of-date. Supermarket staff are very unfriendly.
